The attorney representing captured medicine kingpin Ismael” El Mayo” Zambada rebutted says that his customer had been tricked into boarding an airplane bound for the United States, where he was arrested Thursday, alleging he was “forcibly kidnapped” by a boy of the legendary Joaquín” El Chapo” Guzmán Loera.

Zambada, 76, was taken into custody after he arrived at a smaller airport near El Paso, along with Joaquín Guzmán López, a 38-year-old brother of El Chapo, the gang’s co-founder the gang alongside Zambada.

The lawyer, Frank Perez, rejected reports that Zambada— who has pleaded not guilty to an array of medicine prostitution, weapons, and money laundering charges — had surrendered or been duped onto the airplane.

” My buyer neither surrendered nor negotiated any words with the U. S. state. Joaquin Guzman Lorena violently kidnapped my client”, Perez said. ” He was ambushed, thrown to the ground, and handcuffed by six men in military uniforms and Joaquin. His feet were tied, and a bag of charcoal was draped over his head. He was then dumped into a delivery vehicle and taken to a takeoff strip. There, he was forced onto a helicopter, his legs tied to the chair by Joaquin, and brought to the U. S. against his will”.

Perez said the only individuals on the airplane were” the captain, Joaquin and my consumer”.

According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Zambada was deceived intoboarding the aircraft that brought him to U.S. land, even people who were not authorized to speak publicly about the detention.

“Epic, once-in-a-lifetime caper”, one legislation enforcement supply who works in Mexico. ” The old guy got tricked”.

According to Perez, who spoke recently with The Times after issuing the assertion, Zambada was set up when called to a conference with Guzmán López, a head of the gang party known as Los Chapitos. Zambada was traveling with a small security information.

Caught off guard, Zambada was overpowered by Guzmán López and his people, Perez said.

Guzmán López faces national charges in Chicago and Washington, D. C., for drug smuggling and his management role in the Sinaloa Cartel. He has not entered any kind of appeal, according to court documents. His attorney did not respond to a post demand right away.
