The rock group Foo Fighters have expressed their criticism after the Donald Trump campaign performed their music” My Hero” at a rally in Glendale, Arizona, on August 23. The band’s official told USA TODAY that the plan had never requested permission to use the music, and that it would have been rejected if they had. The group made it known that any profits made from the song’s use would be donated to vice president Kamala Harris ‘ plan.
The Foo Fighters gave a screenshot of their denial on X ( previously Twitter ) to show that they had not consented to the song’s use.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who had just announced he was suspending his political strategy to help the Republican candidate, took the stage to play the song.
Trump’s comment
A Trump campaign spokesperson informed the advertising that they had a certificate to play the song in response to the discussion.
Past concerns
The group of Celine Dion’s earlier this month made a public statement about Trump’s usage of her famous music” My Heart Will Go On” at a protest in Montana. In August, the home of Isaac Hayes even threatened legal action against Trump for using Hayes ‘ music” Keep On, I’m Comin ‘” at gatherings, citing Trump’s lack of integrity and his story of disrespectful behavior. In a 2018 interview with GQ, Dave Grohl, the frontman of the Foo Fighters, also criticized Trump, calling him” a massive jerk.”
