
An early-morning fall on , Interstate 25 , sent a car off the road into the , South Platte River, authorities said.
Only before , 6 a. m., the , Denver Fire and Police departments , responded to a two-vehicle fall on southbound , I-25, northeast of , Alameda Avenue,  , authorities said.
One vehicle landed in the , South Platte River , and the pilot — an unnamed woman — was able to take herself out of the car on her own,  , authorities said. The girl was seated on top of her car when fire crews discovered her.
According to fire officials, a liquid rescue team led the woman to shore and then transported her to a hospital where she was unharmed.
The next driver’s identity was not disclosed on Tuesday, and the cause of the accident is still being investigated.
As of , 8 a. m. Tuesday, the right-most street of southbound , I-25 , remained shut between , U. S. 6 , and , Colorado , 26/Alameda Avenue , for the accident investigation and clean-up,  , according to the , Colorado Department of Transportation.
Owners reported up to 20-minute disruptions in the area, CDOT authorities said.
