In his 2021 text” Integrity Counts,” Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is facing a strong slander complaint because of false allegations he made about a Republican poll charity. He claimed that a picture of unsupervised vote counting at State Farm Arena in Atlanta had been “doctored”,” chopped up,”” cut,”” sliced up,” and “deceptively sliced and edited” and that it had been “deceptively sliced and edited so that it appeared to show the exact reverse of reality,” along with a” slice of film that had removed the clear information” that the legislation had been applied.

None of that was correct. The only person who delivered the picture to Georgia legislators was Republican election volunteer Jacki Pick, who claimed the uncontrolled ballot counting in Georgia’s largest county was accurate. While she did not show the whole 20 days of the movie in her 12-minute presentation, everything she showed was edited, chopped up, peeled, or diced, in any way.

Raffensperger published the self-promotional reserve in November 2021 as part of his plan for re-election. It came a time after he oversaw one of the condition votes in 2020 that were the most contentious. Election dignity activists had a lot of negative feedback against him and his company regarding different choices he and his company made in the run-up and after the 2020 vote.

For instance, in March 2020, Raffensperger resisted the legitimate work of Democrat campaigner Marc Elias to ease the requirements for personal confirmation for mail-in votes. Raffensperger freely accepted” Zuck Bucks,” the plan by Democrat employees to take over government elections in the azure areas of swing state and to assist with the implementation of Get Out The Vote campaigns after several Democrat regions ‘ primary votes in 2020 were badly run. The Center for Tech and Civic Life gave$ 45 million to Georgia as its main goal during the procedure. The results were amazing.

Georgia went from having a more than five place advantage over Republican in 2016 to experience a consolation in 2020. Raffensperger’s business immediately went into a defensive position, rejecting information requests from Democratic activists, refusing to research legitimate claims of improper voting, and yet fabricating Trump quotes that were cited in his impeachment. Additionally, they unlawfully recorded a crucial phone call between the Trump campaign and the candidate, mischaracterized the conversation’s context, and immediately leaked it to the Washington Post. Election integrity activists have seen the entire Georgia Secretary of State office with suspicion and frustration as a result of these and other actions.

No county in Georgia experienced more issues in 2020 than Fulton County, which is notoriously corrupt. The county was required to obtain a consent decree from the U.S. Department of Justice because of how many issues with conducting elections. According to officials at its central vote tabulation facility, counting was done for the night, but officials at the same location continued to count after the observers and the media left, among other issues in 2020. Republicans were outraged.

Raffensperger’s office downplayed the concerns and repeatedly said nothing was amiss. He and his supporters initially denied that any media or observers had been informed that the evening’s operations had stopped ( despite strong evidence ), then claimed that no counting had occurred after observers had left, and then that government monitors had been present the entire time. Trump’s attorneys discovered security footage of the arena in early December 2020 that demonstrated those assertions to be false. Before left-wing censorship outlets were able to suppress the story and falsely claim it had been discredited, the presentation of that security video footage went viral.

CNN and the New York Times are a teeming with one another.

Raffensperger contacted his allies at the left-wing propaganda websites The New York Times and CNN in August of 2024 to request that they mischaracterize the defamation lawsuit and assist him in raising money to fight it. ” Defying Trump Over Election Costs a Republican, Literally“, blared the front page headline of the New York Times, which claimed that he had spent$ 500, 000 to fight the lawsuit.

In fact, the lawsuit has nothing to do with “defying Trump” in 2020. Instead, it addresses the phrases Raffensperger used to illustrate Pick’s video presentation in his book a year later.

Nick Corasaniti, a New York Times activist, uncritically refutes Raffensperger’s claim that Pick demands that he adopt a particular perspective on the upcoming election. That is, of course, false. She merely requests in her lawsuit that he retract the false information he made about her in his 2021 book and pay damages for the harm he caused to her. Her lawsuit provides numerous instances of left-wing media supporters refuting his false accusations of deception and false testimony.

Raffensperger “has been forced to spend half a million dollars defending himself in court for opposing former president Donald J. Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election,” the Corasaniti claims without any supporting evidence. Raffensperger is also facing legal action for the false statements he made in his 2021 book, not to mention how his office illegally eavesdropped on their political allies in the left-wing media and how other actions were taken against Trump.

Corasaniti without supporting any proof claims that Pick’s video presentation contained “debunked… claims of election fraud.” In fact, her presentation revealed undeniable evidence of unsupervised ballot counting in a county known for troubled election administration.

” Ms. If Mr. Raffensperger wanted to settle the case, his attorneys knew right away that he would have to first publicly admit that her video presentation was not deceptive. In other words, Mr. Raffensperger says, he would effectively have to tell his own new lie”, Corasaniti writes. He or Raffensperger never make a convincing argument that a precise statement about the video presentation was deceptive. Further, at no point does Corasaniti provide any evidence of anything deceptive about the video presentation.

Corasaniti goes further, making claims that defamation lawsuit victims could pose a threat to election officials ‘ ability to get their work done. Raffensperger is again being sued for his personal 2021 book, in which he defamed Pick, as opposed to his work as an election official.

” Ms. Pick has never even contacted Mr. Raffensperger to request any statements regarding the 2020 election; her only concern is fixing the reputation she has damaged as a result of false statements made by Mr. Raffensperger a year later. &nbsp, Ms. According to Bill Whitehill, a member of her legal team,” Pick will hold Mr. Raffensperger accountable for making false statements about her. The fact that he is more interested in diverting attention from his 2021 defamatory statements shows that he is extremely concerned that justice will be served,” said Whitehill, a member of her legal team.
