According to a report released by American National Public Radio on Tuesday, two members of the Democratic presidential candidate’s campaign workers and former US President Donald Trump’s campaign team have been accused of having a “verbal and natural altercation” with an Arlington National Cemetery national during a visit by Trump this week.
Trump apparently took part in the event on Monday at a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of the 13 servicemembers who perished in Afghanistan in 2021. According to an unknown cause, the conflict started when a tomb official attempted to stop Trump’s plan staff from filming and taking photos in a confined area where servicemembers are buried. According to Reuters news agency, the staff members reportedly “verbally exploited and shoved the official aside.”

According to Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung,” There was no actual confrontation as described and we are prepared to transfer images if such disparaging claims are made,” there was no physical confrontation as described. In addition, Cheung added that a private shooter was permitted on the premises and that an “unnamed person, evidently suffering from a mental health episode, decided to actually prevent members of President Trump’s team during a very grave ceremony.”
Arlington National Cemetery stated in a statement that a situation had occurred and that a document had been filed. The tomb said that “federal law prohibits political strategy or election-related routines within Army National Military Cemeteries, to contain photographers, content makers or any other persons attending for purposes, or in direct assistance of a partisan political president’s plan”.
Following the visit, Trump travelled to Detroit, where he blamed Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden for what he described as a” catastrophic” withdrawal from Afghanistan.
