Islamic Violence, Abductions Plague Nigerian Christians

The genocide that continues as Islamic militants continue to attack Holy communities, making Nigeria the most lethal country in the world for Christians.

As of first 2023, over 60, 000 Nigerian Christians had been killed in a decade-long murder, largely driven by Islamic terrorism. Due to the government’s unwillingness to take swift action to protect Christians, three states in Nigeria are currently in particular danger of abduction and murder.

According to International Christian Concern ( ICC), Christian communities in Kaduna state’s counties of Ikara and Kabau have recently fallen victim to persecution. Two Christians were taken from Ikara’s Angwan Tube on August 14 and one was hurt in Kurmin Kogo hospital by Islamic jihadis. The Dogon Fako society was likewise affected the very next day by two violence, one of which was an Anglican Rev. Bitrus Inusa. &nbsp,

Extremists kidnapped a priest and another group member two weeks ago in the Kargi hospital, where the crime spread to the Kabau local government area. The assault continued after the priest was freed after receiving a ransom for his actions on August 17 when another priest and two others were abducted in Kwankwarmin Gedage. &nbsp,

The Southeast is still in a bad place, too. Five Biblical individuals from Enugu State College of Health Technology were abducted by Islamic Fulani extremists on August 15 in the Oji River local government area. This incident occurred in the Otukpo-Enugu route during a Fulani radical attack in which 20 medical and dental individuals from the Universities of Jos and Maiduguri were abducted.

Ben Bini, the head of Kaduna City Christian, reported to the ICC about a growing trend of qualified violence against Christian clergy and laypeople in Nigeria.

Muslim Fulani militants in Nigeria burned this temple to the ground. In the US, Christians walk into temples with coffee shops and consider of “persecution” as a society rejecting their beliefs. However, Nigerian Christians are being slaughtered: 5 died on June 21st. photograph. twitter.com/R35qayZajM— Anthony Bradley ( @drantbradley ) June 22, 2024

Plateau condition has been an area specifically riddled with anti-Christian harassment, and that horrible reality persists. Rigwe producers, per ICC, in Plateau’s Bassa state” experience continuous challenges that compromise their agricultural livelihoods”.

ICC provided an example. On July 23, Islamic Fulani fanatics in Bassa’s Miango destroyed wheat and grain crops. That same plantation experienced a second invasion that caused the complete loss of its plants on August 23 exactly one month later.

Where is the international outrage and international sympathy? Why do the jihad-loving Gazans constitute the only ones organizing rallies and demonstrations? Where is the dread of the brutal persecution of African Christians? Even the Biden-Harris leadership dropped Nigeria from the list of nations that are particularly concerned about spiritual freedom!

Far too many Western Christians have no idea that there is a genocide occurring in Nigeria, and far too many Christian officials are passive. That needs to shift.
