The FBI announced on Wednesday that it had a” clear concept” of the attitude of would-be killer Thomas Matthew Crooks but had not yet identified a “definitive purpose” behind the July 13 assassination attempt against former president Donald Trump at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

According to Politico, Kevin Rojek, the specific agent in charge of the FBI’s field office in Pittsburgh, told reporters during an FBI conference call lecture on Wednesday,” Extensive analysis of the patient’s online seek history as well as his certain online activity has provided us useful information into his attitude, but not a comprehensive motive”.

Rojek explained that the FBI’s research has already found” no clear philosophy … either left-leaning or right-leaning” with regard to its research into Crooks. The FBI is” nevertheless attempting to interpret and darw conclusions on” the special agent’s claim that the evidence of Crooks ‘ philosophy has “really been a blend” and is “really a combination” As a result, Rojek said,” We have a clear notion of attitude, but we are not ready to make any conclusive statements regarding cause at this time”.

Rojek explained to the internet that Crooks had conducted many online searches for political developments involving Trump and Joe Biden on Wednesday during the media conference.

” We saw through our study of all his, but particularly his online requests, a sustained, comprehensive effort to plan an attack on some occasions, meaning he looked at any number of activities or targets”, Rojek told reporters. ” Then when this event was announced, the Trump rally was announced early in July, he became hyper-focused on that specific event, and looked at it as a target of opportunity”.

Robert Wells, the executive assistant director of the FBI’s national security branch, confirmed to USA Today that the agency had not yet identified a motive behind the assassination attempt and that its investigation had not found any co-conspirators who might have been aware of the former president’s assassination attempt before July 13.

We have not seen any evidence to suggest Crooks was directed by a foreign entity to carry out the attack, according to Wells, and I want to be clear.
