Nikolai Durov, a scientist and system programmer with a strong educational background, was born in Russia. He is a multiple gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad, making him a renowned talent in the technology sector. He also holds a PhD in algebra. His accomplishments to Telegram involve the development of the product’s encryption methods, which are essential to its appeal as a trusted communication device worldwide, according to the Politico.
Nikolai’s part in Telegram has mostly remained in the background, with his nephew Pavel taking the public-facing position as the CEO. His technological prowess have, nevertheless, played a significant role in making Telegram a leading platform for nearly one billion people worldwide.
Unlike Pavel, who frequently appears in front of the camera, Nikolai keeps a low status and concentrates on the platform’s complex components rather than its business or public relations.
