GOP Governors Vow to ‘Not Comply’ With WHO Pandemic Protocols

It’s been over four decades since the COVID-19 crisis shook the world. The word “unprecedented” has almost become a cliché to describe those months and years, but we really did n’t know what to expect, which is why so many federal, state, and local governments placed their trust in unelected bureaucrats to dictate policy.

The primary states to escape this madness were Democratic ones. Georgia was the first condition to pull COVID limitations, and Florida followed immediately after. Yet we still see so many people living in fear of COVID, closing institutions for a few cases, wearing faces, and pushing another ineffectual techniques.

The World Health Organization ( WHO ) established a group to work on creating a global pandemic prevention protocol. From its site:

In December 2021, at its second-ever special session, the World Health Assembly established an intergovernmental negotiating body ( INB) to draft and negotiate a convention, agreement, or other international instrument under the Constitution of the World Health Organization to strengthen pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response. The INB’s job is based on the principles of equality, transparency, efficiency, Member State authority, and discussion.

The Biden-Harris management, of course, began working with the WHO to create a partnership to deal with any potential pandemic. It was aware that the Biden-Harris management was anxious to cede federal authority to globalist bureaucrats. The WHO Pandemic Agreement, which is in its second edition as of 2023, not only places large portions of U. S. health policy in the hands of an international organization ( including calls for” Equity” and” Inclusiveness” in pandemic response ) but also ignores the 10th Amendment and the rights of states to determine certain policies under the Constitution.

The Republican Governors Association is fiercely opposed to this federalist and constitutional infraction. 24 GOP administrators wrote a letter to each other in May to express their opposition to the idea of a pandemic agreement.

    The text reads in element:

The objective of these devices is to enable the WHO, especially its excessive Director-General, with the authority to restrict the rights of U. S. citizens, including freedoms such as speech, protection, go, choice of health care, and informed consent, thus violating our Constitution’s main principles.

These agreements may aim to transform the WHO from a consultative body to a world authority in open health if they were approved. Under the proposed amendments and treaty, the WHO’s Director-General would supposedly gain unilateral power to declare a “public health emergency of international concern” ( PHEIC ) in member nations, extending beyond pandemics to include a range of perceived emergencies.

” As administrators, we recognize that public health policy is a problem reserved for the state, not the federal government, and certainly not foreign bodies like the WHO”, the rulers conclude in the email. We “resist any efforts to grant the WHO control over public legislation that affects our people” or any attempts by the WHO to do so.

Republican governors issued a statement on Thursday stating that they would not accept submitting their states ‘ laws to the WHO. Two more administrators joined the 24 who signed the letter, bringing the total to 26 — that’s correct, over half of the state.

With their fresh” Patient Agreement,” the statement reads,” The World Health Organization is attempting one earth control over health plan.” Twenty-four Republican governors expressed concern about this growth in a joint text in May 2024. Put just, Republican Governors did never agree”.

Govs. Kay Ivey ( Ala. ), Mike Dunleavy ( Alaska ), Sarah Sanders ( Ark. ), Ron DeSantis ( Fla. ), Brian Kemp ( Ga. ), Brad Little ( Idaho ), Eric Holcomb ( Ind. ), Kim Reynolds ( Iowa ), Jeff Landry ( La. ), Tate Reeves ( Miss. ), Mike Parson ( Mo. ), Greg Gianforte ( Mont. ), Jim Pillen ( Neb. ), Joe Lombardo ( Nev. ), Chris Sununu ( N. H. ), Doug Burgum ( N. D. ), Mike DeWine ( Ohio ), Kevin Stitt ( Okla. ), Henry McMaster ( S. C. ), Kristi Noem ( S. D. ), Bill Lee ( Tenn. ), Greg Abbott ( Texas ), Spencer Cox ( Utah ), Glenn Youngkin ( Va. ), Jim Justice ( W. Va. ), and Mark Gordon ( Wyo. ) signed onto the speech. Administrators of these says should be appreciative of their leaders for demonstrating leadership and insisting on state and federal coverage.
