
A severe depression in the area, off the coasts of Gujarat’s Kachchh and neighboring Pakistan, could intensify into a cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea, according to the India Meteorological Department ( IMD)’s warning on Friday. Within the next six hours, the melancholy is expected to turn into a tectonic surprise.
IMD instructions on serious depression
” Deep depression over Kachchh &, adjoining areas of Kachchh coast and adjoining areas of Pakistan &, Northeast Arabian Sea, about 50 km west-northeast of Naliya ( Gujarat )”, IMD said in a post on X.
” It is likely to proceed almost westward, cross the Kachh & border, the At coast, and then turn into a CS in the upcoming 06 hrs. Later, it would continue to move almost west-northwestwards over NE Arabian Sea apart from American coast during subsequent 2 time”, it added.
” Deep melancholy over Kutch and nearby areas is likely to spread nearly westward into the east Arabian Sea and grow to the point where it will become a cyclonic surprise in the next 12 hours. In the following two days, it may move westward and northward away from the Indian coast, according to IMD, which had previously stated in a declaration on Thursday night.
The IMD added that” the sea condition may be hard during this time, and wind velocity may reach up to 75 kilometres on and off the Gujarat coast.”
What does the name of the hurricane?
The cyclone- called’ Asna’ if created- is, nevertheless, not expected to change American coasts as it’s moving towards the Arabian sea, away from the land. According to standard procedure, Pakistan has included the name” Asna” in the list of titles of tropical storms.

PMD cautions on serious depression
Early in the day, Pakistan’s Karachi experienced heavy rain and strong winds, which caused leaders to halt courses. The local weather office reported that some areas of the city received 147 mm ( 5.79 inches ) of rain during the night.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department ( PMD), as reported by Geo News, the low-pressure region from the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat is moving towards Karachi.
The PMD on Friday said:” The deep depression ( DD, very strong low-pressure area ) over Rann of Kutch, India has slowly moved west-southwestward during last 12 hours and now lies at around Latitude 23.6 N &, Longitude 69.2 E at about 250km east/southeast of Karachi. The system is likely keep moving further west/southwestwards, emerge into northeast Arabian Sea along Sindh coast by tomorrow morning and intensify further into a Cyclonic Storm ( CS) due to favorable environmental conditions, sea surface temperature, low/moderate vertical wind shear and upper-level divergence”.
Cautious measures for Pakistan and India
