Through its official in Tokyo, Japan has filed a formal opposition with China. Despite what they described as an unlawful entry of a Chinese study vehicle into its regional waters on Saturday, according to a declaration from the Japanese overseas department.
The incident took place in the southwest of Japan near Kagoshima Prefecture, where the Taiwanese fleet was discovered at around 6 am local time. According to Japan’s defence ministry, the vehicle remained in the area for nearly two hours before departing shortly after 8 am. It was being followed by a Chinese military aircraft and vehicle.
Japan’s concern about China’s forceful policies in the area, especially those that surround its waters and aircraft, has grown since the incursion. Chinese defence officials have expressed growing uneasiness, especially in light of the strengthening military relations between China and Russia, which have resulted in joint air force exercises close to Japan’s borders.
This tragedy has added to Japan’s worries about China’s growing confidence around its lakes and aircraft, especially as China’s military cooperation with Russia rises.
Japan also expressed concern earlier this week when a Chinese military aircraft shortly entered its southwest airspace. This was the first incident the Chinese self-defense force reported.
Despite these tensions, Chinese foreign ministry director Lin Jian stated on Tuesday that China had” no purpose” of violating any government’s airport.
However, the situation has strained the already fragile relationship between the two places.
Despite rising protection conflicts, Japan and China maintain strong economic and cultural ties. Business ties between Japan and China remain strong, with continuous exchanges between researchers and professionals, reflecting the richness and depth of their marriage.
