Donald Trump last Monday visited to the cemetery of the 13 US service members who were killed in the Kabul airport bombing in 2021. The visit triggered a massive political row as Trump’s campaign used photos and videos of the visit. Photography is restricted at the cemetery and there was an altercation between Trump’s staff and a cemetery official.
Kamala Harris made a post on Saturday in the midst of the controversy that condemned Trump for his Arlington visit. She claimed that Trump once called fallen service members” suckers” and “losers” and that his Arlington fiasco was only expected of him because he is interested in serving others. Harris claimed that she and the vice president have had the honor of making several trips to the cemetery because it is not conducive to politicians.
