El Paso, Texas (KTSM)- According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, during a transportation stop on Interstate 10 on Monday, September 2, an illegal immigrant was discovered, and the driver was detained for allegedly bringing people into the country.
At about 3 p. m. Monday, a express officer pulled over a truck for speeding along I-10 East near Milepost 17, DPS said. That is close to the Executive Center enter.
The van contained 11 workers who were taken to Border Patrol for running.
The vehicle, identified as 40-year-old Jorge Alberto Quintana Puga, was arrested for trafficking of persons, DPS said.
The research is continuing.
