Former US President Donald Trump Fred Trump II I’s brother attacked his brother, claiming that he had no compassion for those who serve in the military.
The notes, made during an appearance on MSNBC’s” Deadline: White House”, added fuel to the continuing debate about the former president’s approach toward the armed forces and his questionable visit to Arlington National Cemetery.
Fred, who has largely stayed out of the limelight, did not hold back in claiming,” He just does n’t give a s**t about them”, referring to his uncle’s perceived disregard for the military.
Fred Trump spoke about the later Senator John McCain during the meeting, who has been the subject of numerous Donald Trump-related scandals. Recalling his private meeting with McCain, he described the senator as a “genuine hero”, expressing dismay at Donald Trump’s earlier remarks that belittled McCain’s martial service.
Fred Trump remarked,” This is a true warrior, cool, let’s make no mistake about it,” making reference to the former mayor’s notorious claim that McCain was just viewed as a war hero because he was captured during the Vietnam War.
” The fact that Donald called him, in essence, a ‘ loser,’ I do n’t get it”, he added.
The discussion soon turned lighter as Fred Trump elaborated on his friend’s view, one that, according to him, is greatly contemptuous of those he perceives as poor. He said,” But anyone who is disabled or anyone who he deems less than him is a loser,” before admitting that” that’s just the way he is.” That ai n’t gonna change”.
When questioned about the government’s support for Donald Trump, Fred Trump admitted confusion, saying,” I have no idea”. He did, however, recall a recent interview he gave on National Defense Radio, in which he asserted that his uncle’s blatant disregard for the military forces is real and greatly rooted. ” I basically told this story, and I said that he just does n’t give a shit about them. He simply does n’t”, he highlighted.
Fred compared his uncle’s desires to those in” The Godfather II,” which is famous for its use of commitment and energy. He suggested that Donald Trump is finally driven by self-interest before everything else, little like Michael Corleone in the film. ” Donald believes in Donald”, he said.
