University says graffiti investigation is ongoing.

A University of Houston art show, which some describe as” satanic”, remains broken and on screen nearly two months after being vandalized.

The University of Houston Police Department is also looking into the mutilated beautiful statue of a person wearing animal horns, according to a spokesman who spoke to The College Fix in a new message.

A person climbs the memorial somewhere on July 8 and then climbs down before fleeing, according to a security video from the police, which was released by KPRC 2 Houston.

University director Kevin Quinn told The Fix&nbsp, he did not have any revisions about the research.

The memorial has not yet been repaired, and the investigation is still ongoing. That’s all I can discuss at this time”, Quinn said.

Erected in February, the memorial” Havah … to Breathe, Air, Life” by designer Shahzia Sikander is slated to be on school through Oct. 31, according to the Public Art University of Houston System, which co-commissioned the show.

In a statement to CNN, Sikander attributed the theft to the public school in Texas.

” This was a harsh, cruel, and cruel act”, the actor stated in July. And I hold the University of Houston responsible for their limited defense and disregard for the preservation of the art.

She added that she requested the school to maintain the monument in use and in good condition.

The work’s history and its strength are reflected in the violent action. I’ve requested that the university show the violated function and reduce the tarp. They need to value the desires of the performer”, Sikander stated.

Her statue challenges” standard symbols of power, justice, and feminine representation in public statues”, according to the school art party.

According to the Catholic News Agency, Sikander described a nearly identical monument she made for a New York City courthouse building as a “form of weight” in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the demise of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in 2023.

As a result, the display caused an outcry on college and among pro-life activists. The Daily Cougar scholar newspaper reported at the time that the student federal had also considered a resolution calling for its removal.

Shortly after the memorial was erected, a number of pro-life organizations, including the school groups Coogs for Career and Students for Life of America, staged a protest outside the public college.

Jordan Estabrook, a spokesperson for Students for Life, stated in an email last week that the group’s reaction was to “lawfully rally the statue.”

The organizations put up a” Cemetery of the Innocents” screen next to the statue with red crosses displaying the lives of unborn children who had abortions.

” Students for Life of America does n’t support breaking the law, blocking entrances of buildings, or defacing property”, Estabrook told The Fix when asked about the vandalism.

Estabrook even said pupil pro-life groups “regularly” are targets of theft.

Unfortunately, Estabrook told The Fix,” SFLA frequently faces abortion zealots destroying beautiful pro-life signs chalked on public spaces.”
