    Kamala Harris, Donald Trump share ‘awkward’ handshake

    In a significant time during Tuesday night’s political debate, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump shared a hand, marking their first face-to-face gathering in the campaign.
    Both applicants took the stage for what was their first direct experience as the discussion progressed. Trump first appeared to be heading towards his floor without acknowledging Harris, who was positioned close to the stage. In a sign of civility, Harris altered her course to meet Trump at his pulpit, extending her hands.
    ” Kamala Harris. How are you”? Harris greeted.
    ” Nice to see you, I’m fine”, Trump responded as he shook her hand.
    ” Come have a good argument”, Harris replied.
    The hand marked the conclusion of an eight-year time without handshakes on the stage for political debates. Although there are no official regulations or requirements for these gestures, this change added a dash of civility to the high-stakes political conflict.

    In what might be their single discussion before the November national election, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump squared off for the first time, giving viewers a spectacular view into their divisive views of the nation. The debate took place following a turbulent summer for both prospects, and it provided a crucial chance to entice undecided voters.
    Americans had the most clear understanding of a battle since the last argument in June, when President Joe Biden resigned from the race, thanks to the experience. Trump was soon attacked by Harris, who attributed his incendiary rhetoric to the conventional Project 2025 plan and GOP efforts to enforcing restrictions on abortion.
    Trump responded by questioning Harris ‘ ability to serve as vice president and criticizing her handling of illegal immigration. He made a number of controversial claims about immigrants, including the claim that they are” taking work” from African Americans and Hispanics. Harris, apparently unmoved, responded with a grin when Trump repeated false accusations about refugees.
    The debate took place in a small, blue-lit theatre turned television studio, bereft of a life crowd, which minimized the usual sound of clapping or taunts. The candidates ‘ lecterns ‘ close proximity increased the intensity of the discussion.
    Following the June 27 conversation, which led to Biden’s return from the competition, Trump survived an assassination attempt, and both sides finalized their running mates. This argument, which was hosted by ABC News, is a rare instance of Harris giving a formal interview every six weeks.
    Just before the controversy, absentee ballots will start to be distributed in Alabama on Wednesday, with early voting scheduled for the presidential election beginning shortly thereafter.
