After months of dragging her feet, Vice President Kamala Harris suddenly released her net policy platform regarding America’s veterans— and it’s as obscure, fallacious, and unscrupulous as you’d assume.
Included at the bottom of the new” Problems” tab on the Harris campaign’s website, the part offers very little chemical on what plans a Harris-Walz presidency would advance to better the existence of resigned U. S. service people. Without explaining how, the Democrat presidential ticket pledges to “fight to end veteran homelessness, invest] ] in mental health and suicide prevention efforts, and eliminat]e ] barriers to employment and expand ] ] economic opportunity for military and veteran families”.
” A Harris-Walz management will maintain to ensure that company people, soldiers and their families receive the benefits they have earned”, the area reads.
The administration’s dishonest attempt to paint a rosy picture of the two Democrats ‘ track record on defense issues is the most devastating, despite Harris and Walz’s efforts to avoid being questioned about their extraordinary left-wing plan.
” Vice President Harris and Governor Walz believe we have a sacred obligation to care for our nation’s service members, veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors”, the campaign boasts.
If that’s true, then why was n’t Harris present at the recent ceremony honoring the 13 service members killed in Afghanistan during her and Joe Biden’s botched 2021 withdrawal? Better yet, why have n’t she or Biden reached out to these Gold Star families to express condolences or express regret for the incompetence of the government that led to the deaths of their loved ones? After all, Harris herself claimed, as Politico described, that she was the “last person in the room” when Biden made the decision to pull out of Afghanistan.
Harris and her campaign have only spread lies about Trump, who has frequently met with and consoled these families, rather than making efforts to assist and comfort them.
Trump recently attended the aforementioned wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery to honor the 13 heroes who passed away in Kabul, which was weeks prior. Democrats used media assistance from the regime-approved media to smear the claim that Trump disrespected the buried by having his team record video at the cemetery. Trump was invited by the Gold Star families and had permission to photograph the occasion.
Harris quickly bolstered the baseless narrative by publishing a false statement on X in which she claimed that Trump “disrespected sacred ground, all for the sake of a political stunt.” A number of Gold Star families who were present at the ceremony with Trump posted videos in response, criticizing the vice president for politicizing the occasion and the Biden-Harris administration for its disastrous withdrawal.
” Why wo n’t you return a call and explain to us how you call my daughter-in-law’s death a success? Vice President Harris, why will you not express your condolences yourself? Why have you never contacted us? And finally, why would you use a day to disparage not only our loved ones but also ourselves by using it to celebrate the death of our loved one? asked Christy Shamblin, mother-in-law to Sergeant Nicole Gee.
Deceiving voters into thinking Trump loathes America’s military personnel is also a feature of Harris ‘ “veterans” platform. The campaign website repeatedly refutes the debunked falsehood that Trump refers to deceased U.S. service members as” suckers” and “losers,” which is also included in her aforementioned tweet.
Numerous former Trump administration officials have publicly , refuted , the anonymous allegations published by The Atlantic. Even left-wing “fact-checkers” like Snopes have admitted” there appeared to be no evidence of an audio or video recording of the remarks in question, nor was there any documentation, such as transcripts or presidential notes, to independently confirm or deny the alleged quotes ‘ authenticity”.
The campaign’s “veterans” section puts the cherry on top by playing word games with Walz’s military service, claiming he” served as a command sergeant major” in the Army National Guard. Although it is true that Walz eventually earned the rank of command sergeant major once he left his unit before it went to Iraq.
The governor of Minnesota frequently lied about his military service, which he and Harris did recently blame for bad grammar in an interview with CNN.
