As he accused the US and its supporters of creating a “nuclear-based military union” in the region, North Korea’s head vowed to increase his nuclear weapons arsenal rapidly and advance his forces ‘ readiness for battle.
Kim Jong Un stated in a speech on the anniversary of his country’s 76th founding that there is no limit to how much he will “fully prepare for combat” and that there is no limit to how much he will “fully increase his military muscles,” according to the standard Korean Central News Agency on Tuesday.
Kim praised the work as a “duty and right to life” and said,” We are now completely carrying out the plan to build the nuclear armed makes by increasing the number of nuclear weapons by geometrical progression.”
Following the signing of a agreement on military training in July, Pyongyang is trying to store South Korea’s efforts to strengthen its security partnership with the US and Japan. The deal was a result of a significant multilateral mountain that President Joe Biden held in Camp David in August 2023.
In one of its biggest shows of jet prowess under Kim, North Korea announced last month that it would send 250 fresh portable missiles to frontline defense devices so they could launch nuclear attacks on its neighbor to the south and US forces stationed there. It introduced new suicide attack robots in response to the weapon action.
Shin Wonsik, the national security adviser to South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol while he was serving as defence minister, reported in July that North Korea might be considering conducting a nuclear test close to the November US presidential vote to raise its account.
In his remarks this month, Kim said North Korea” secured great military power by making critical successes” in “recent weeks”, without elaborating.
On Sunday, North Korea unveiled a new 12-axled weapon app, generating debate over a fresh intercontinental ballistic missile.
In recent months, North Korea has reacted to joint military exercises conducted by the US and South Korea and sent hundreds of trash-laden bubbles across the border.
” The DPRK will gradually improve its nuclear power capable of fully coping with any threatening works imposed by its nuclear-armed rival state”, Kim said, using the word for the North’s official title, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
Kim cited the economy’s success so far this year despite severe flood damage in the northern region.
In the final week of July, torrential rains and floods hit the cities of Sinuiju, a trade hub connected to China by bridge, and the nearby county of Uiju. The downpours damaged about 4, 100 homes, swept over roads and rail links, and wiped out about 3, 000 hectares (7, 410 acres ) of farmland, according to North Korean state media reports.
South Korean media outlets reported that at least hundreds of people had been killed, citing government sources who did not immediately identify them, citing sources they did not know. North Korean media has n’t mentioned any deaths.
