One of the most highly praised benefits of artificial intelligence is how it may enable developers with mundane tasks. Despite this, new study indicates that security leaders are n’t entirely on board, with 63 % weighing out allowing AI to be used in coding because of the hazards it entails.
An even larger proportion, 92 %, of the decision-makers surveyed are concerned about the use of AI-generated code in their company. All of their primary concerns have to do with the decreased value of the outcome.

The new statement,” Organizations Struggle to Secure AI-Generated and Open Source Code” from appliance identity management service Venafi, is based on a study of 800 safety decision-makers across the U. Security experts are becoming sluggish over this problem.
Two-thirds of Venafi report respondents claim they find it difficult to keep up with the uber-productive engineers when protecting the safety of their goods, and 66 % claim they are unable to regulate the use of AI within the organization because they lack the control over where it is being used.
Safety leaders are therefore concerned about the consequences of allowing possible vulnerabilities to slip through the cracks, with 59 % of them losing sleep over the situation. Nearly 80 % of people believe that the development of AI-developed code may cause a security reckoning because a major incident prompts changes in how it is handled.
