Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, made an appearance using U.S. defense resources to support Vice President Kamala Harris on a Monday trip to the battleground state of Pennsylvania.
Zelensky went to a Pennsylvania weapons flower with Gov. Gov. on another journey to ask the U.S. government for money and munitions. Josh Shapiro, a popular Kamala Harris biological, and other Liberals, including Sen. Bob Casey. Zelensky arrived in Scranton, Pennsylvania ( President Joe Biden’s oft-referenced birthplace ), aboard a U. S. Air Force C-17, images of which he used to advertise his visit. In a concept recorded from the inside the plane, Zelensky noted,” This drop will decide what’s next in this battle”.
” Zelensky is in Pennsylvania now, signing bombs with Gov. Shapiro. Zelensky is likewise attacking J. D. Vance in the biggest, most crucial battleground state in the country during an election time”, Sean Parnell, former Pennsylvania Republican candidate for U. S. Senate, said at a Trump rally Monday. ” Folks, if that ai n’t foreign election interference, I do n’t know what is”.
Importantly, Zelensky’s journey came the day after The New Yorker published an exam in which he criticized former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J. D. Vance, R-Ohio. Zellensky objected to Trump’s discussion response regarding the Ukraine war, in which the Republican claimed he wanted the conflict to stop.
” Trump makes social claims in his election plan”, Zelensky said. ” My feeling is that Trump does n’t really know how to stop the war even if he might , think , he knows how”, Zelensky added ]emphasis original]. ” With this battle, often, the deeper you look at it the less you understand. Many leaders were persuaded they knew how to end it tomorrow, but as they delved deeper, they came to the realization that it was n’t really that simple.
The Russian president even called Vance” to radical”, saying his program to end the war with Russia is” only sloganeering”.
” For us, these are unsafe signs, coming as they do from a possible Vice-President. I should say that it has n’t been like this with Trump”, Zelensky said.
” I do n’t take Vance’s words seriously, because, if this were a plan, then America is headed for global conflict”, he continued, comparing a negotiation with Russia to appeasement of Adolph Hitler prior to World War II.
” The Biden-Harris administration is using defense resources to travel a foreign head into a battleground state in order to destroy their political critics”, Dan Caldwell, people policy consultant at Defense Priorities, posted on social media.
The Department of Defense responded to an inquiry from The Federalist by not disclosing whether Zelensky had used American military equipment during the trip.
Zelensky later made an appearance to criticize the former president by asking international leaders to work with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which Trump frequently cites as essential to successful foreign policy, while not specifically mentioning him.
” Many world leaders want to have some sort of dealings with Putin, to come to terms with him, to do business with him,” he said. I look at such leaders and realize that they are very interested in playing this game — and for them, unfortunately, it really is a game”, Zelensky said. ” But what makes a real leader? A leader is someone whom Putin needs for something, not a person who needs Putin. Flirting with him is not a sign of strength. Sitting across the table from him might lead you to believe that you are making important decisions about the world.
Ironically, Zelensky also said,” I think Ukraine has demonstrated the wisdom of not becoming captured by American domestic politics”.
Zelensky spent a week in Pennsylvania at the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant. According to Military .com, the plant is one of a handful in the country that produces a 155 millimeter artillery shell. 3 million of these shells have already been shipped to Ukraine by the US.
Before making his way to the nation’s capital to meet with President Joe Biden and Harris and ask for more military assistance, the foreign leader will also attend the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The U. S. has already contributed over$ 56 billion to Ukraine, making it the largest donor in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. Since the start of the war, the group, which consists of about 50 countries, has given Ukraine a total of$ 106 billion.
The artillery shells Zelensky inspected, and to which he affixed signatures along with Shapiro, have a range of 15 to 20 miles, but Zelensky has been persistently seeking longer-range missiles to fire into Russia. The Biden administration has not yet given those weapons an approval, and it has argued that the Ukrainian military is already equipped to fire at Moscow with its own drones.
