
A second home in five weeks has collapsed into the , Atlantic Ocean , along North Carolina ‘s , Outer Banks  , and this time the extraordinary accident was recorded by a swimmer.
It happened around  , 1 p. m.  , on , Tuesday, Sept. 24, on what used to be the ending of , America Drive , in , Rodanthe, according to , Chicamacomico Banks Fire &, Rescue.
The two-story home’s pylons effectively stood in the sea when a video shared by the department shows it falling right into the Atlantic . Then it was slammed into the side of a different house that was also dangerously close to falling.
As the home falls and then begins to jack in the sea, people who are watching from the beach can be heard yelling out in amazement.
Within 30 minutes of the first floor’s destruction, according to a subsequent video, waves had ripped it off, leaving the second floor a sluggish pile of wood and walls.
There are no injuries reported at the picture.
America Drive , is one part of the same wall where two houses collapsed days off on , Friday, Sept. 20,  , Cape Hatteras National Seashore , information.
Those houses were on G. A. Kohler Court, which parallels the lake. When they collapsed in the dark, one before morning and the other after sunset, neither of them had any homes left.
Wreckage from the houses has been found as far as 20 miles apart, washed up on shorelines governed by the , National Park Service.
The Atlantic Ocean , has claimed 10 properties in the , Rodanthe , area in the past four decades, the , National Park Service , information.
” The normal effects of winds, tides, and seas, along with rising seas and winds, have played a part in contributing to seaside erosion impacts at , Cape Hatteras National Seashore, especially adjacent to the settlements of , Rodanthe , and Buxton”, NPS authorities say.
” Some secret properties opposite to the beach in , Rodanthe, which formerly contained backyard land, sand, and clean sand, are sometimes partially or fully covered with sea water on a regular basis”.
Rodanthe , is about a 215-mile push south from , Raleigh.
