The U.S. Army has removed advice that recently stated that diversification should be taken into account when selecting candidates for jobs in senior noncommissioned officers.

Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Weimer, who is the best joined leader of the defense branch, just issued new instructions for the selection of command commanders key, according to a new letter obtained by Martial .com. The new direction, according to the store, removed requirements that consider an animal’s diversity when selecting high-ranking soldiers, despite being nearly identical to the previous advice from the Army.

Weimer had recently instructed the Army to” consider diversification to ensure officials represent our structures,” according to Military .com. The removal of the variety requirement for upper-level noncommissioned officer jobs, according to The Daily Wire, comes as the government has been repeatedly pressured by Democratic politicians and other individuals who have accused the Biden-Harris leadership of placing its richness, equity, and inclusion policies before military readiness in the face of mounting problems.

In recent months, the Army has also dropped some of its other activities that were primarily focused on diversification in the military unit. According to Military .com, the Army removed its diversity advertising campaign labeled” The Calling” from YouTube earlier this year. A picture of a sexual soldier who was raised by lesbian parents was included in the ads, which received a lot of negative feedback.

According to Military .com, Weimer and Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George removed the Army’s” People Initially” message, which had been in place for about four years, and placed a premium on the demands of men and their people over military readiness. The outlet noted that the” People First” focus resulted in an expansion of mental health services, stronger parental leave plans, and reduced requirements for female recruits.

In a 2020 letter to the Army, retired Gen. James McConville, who previously served as the Army’s chief of staff, said,” Leveraging the variety of experiences, beliefs and talents will ensure the Army maintains a competitive edge in the battle for skills. As the nation becomes increasingly more diverse, the Army must continue capitalizing on the ideals of inclusion, embracing the opportunity to innovate, focusing on excellence, and expanding capabilities. We must acquire, develop, employ and retain the best and brightest of America’s talent pool”.
