Some Christian users have been calling for a boycott of the tea huge after a video that shows a Coca-Cola system refusing to print the brand” Jesus” on a practice soda does. According to Daily Dot, the online drama began with a Facebook post by Antwoine Hill, who demonstrated at a Coca-Cola store how he could write the names of various religious figures, including” Allah” and” Satan”, but not” Jesus”. When attempting to write” Jesus”, Hill received an error message expressing,” Unfortunately, we cannot immediately help this word on the can”!.
Hill’s movie prompted hundreds of comments, with some customers vowing to cease purchasing Coca-Cola products. One person declared,” We need to Prevent buying soda!!! I’m done”, while another urged fellow Christians to prevent Coke materials, stating,” The only speech companies understand is money”.
Influencers on X encouraged Catholics to withdraw their support for Coca-Cola, which likewise gained traction for the discussion.
When the Daily Dot attempted to create a specialty can with the name” Jesus” on the Coca-Cola webpage, they received a similar problem information. According to the company, statements may get rejected for several reasons, including being trademarked or possibly unpleasant.
Despite the backlash, Hill expressed mixed feelings about the situation, saying,” This is n’t real persecution. I’m pointing out the visible”. He supports the protest to convey the importance of the name Jesus but acknowledges larger societal problems, saying,” I’m in the streets regularly seeing the much bigger problems, drugs, violence, poverty”.
