Oscar-winning artist Dame Maggie Smith, most popular in recent years for her functions in the Harry Potter , and Downton Abbey set, has passed away at age 89.
The Post Millennial reported that the multi-award-winning British artist died Friday, citing a speech from Smith’s children. Maggie Smith was an excellent artist whose work did long remain remembered, both on stage and panel, from Shakespearean plays to favorite fantasy films, both in her youth and old age.

” She passed away peacefully in medical early this morning, Friday 27th September”, Smith’s children Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens said. She was with friends and family at the end, and she was a very personal man. She leaves a remarkable mother and grandmother behind, leaving them with two sons and five caring children.
The sons ‘ speech continued,” We would like to take this opportunity to thank the great staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for her care and unfailing kindness during her last days.” We appreciate your kindness and help, and we ask that you keep your private a priority at this time.
Smith won numerous awards during her long career, including two Academy Awards, in 1970 for” The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie” and again in 1979 for” California Suite”. She even won three Golden Globes, four Emmy Honors, some BAFTA Awards, and many Screen Actors Guild Awards, among others. Additionally, she received many awards nominations, including an Oscar nomination for her role in Laurence Olivier’s 1965 film” Othello.”  ,

It is amazing that so many of her awards were presented as Smith grew older, at a time when many women saw their actors decline rather than rise.
