    Floods, landslides kill 66 people in Nepal

    Floods, landslides kill 112 people in Nepal

    KATHMANDU: Floods and landslides caused by continuous rains killed at least 112 persons and some missing in Nepal, authorities said on Sunday. Since Thursday, parts of Nepal have been flooded with rain, which has prompted crisis authorities to issue flash flood warnings.
    Bishwo Adhikari, a lieutenant director for Nepal’s authorities, reported that 34 of the 66 citizens killed in the Himalayan region as a result of the persistent rains in the Kathmandu river. In addition to the storms, up to 60 people were hurt during the storms.
    More than 3, 000 people have also been rescued thus much.
    According to Adhikari, the major roads have been clogged in 63 locations throughout the nation.
    However, Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh called an emergency meeting involving different ministries, including the Home Minister, Home Secretary, and rulers of security firms, instructing them to quicken search and rescue operations.
    The government has mandated the suspension of all continued tests and the shutdown of all schools in Nepal for three times.
    The primary transmission line was blocked by the floods, which kept Kathmandu from being up all moment. However, strength came back to normal in the evening.
    According to floods caused by floods, all access points to Kathmandu have also been blocked.
    At least 112 people have died and many have been reported missing in Nepal as a result of the persistent, large rains that have caused devastating floods and landslides. Since Thursday, rainfall has been pouring into the area, prompting officials to issue flash flood instructions.
    According to Bishwo Adhikari, a policeman assistant spokesperson, 60 people have been injured. More than 3, 000 people have been rescued.
    Sidewalks are heavily affected, with primary routes blocked in 63 locations across the country. To speed search and rescue operations, Acting Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh and Minister for Urban Development, according to an standard.
    The state has halted all continued exams and suspended all schools in Nepal for three weeks. The main transmission line was obstructing the power supply in Kathmandu, which caused a yearlong power outage, but it was later restored by evening. The rain-caused floods that have blocked access to Kathmandu’s main cities.
    In Kathmandu, 226 properties have been submerged, and about 3, 000 protection officers from the India Police are working in the flood-affected places.
