Three older Israeli defense officials claimed that three senior Israeli leaders had been informed of Hassan Nasrallah’s area for months and that they had chosen to attack him this past year because they believed they had only a small chance of moving him elsewhere.
The authorities, who spoke privately because of the sensitive nature of the situation, claimed that over 80 bombs were dropped in a matter of minutes to remove him, despite no specifying the fat or kind of the bombs.
The authorities, citing intelligence from in Lebanon, said that first Saturday, Hezbollah employees discovered and identified the body of Nasrallah and Ali Karaki, a major Hezbollah military commander. Hezbollah confirmed Nasrallah’s dying in the Jewish attacks on Saturday.
Two of the officers made it clear that the activity had been planned for earlier in the week as Israeli political officials discussed the possibility of a cease-fire in Lebanon with their American peers, and before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed Israel to give a speech at the UN.
Hashem Safieddine, Nasrallah’s aunt and a vital figure in the organization’s political and social work, was one of the few top Hezbollah officials who was not present at the strike page, according to all three leaders. They suggested that Safieddine, longer considered a possible successor to Nasrallah, had been announced immediately as Hezbollah’s fresh secretary-general.
