‘We really have to avoid it’: Biden urges avoidance of all-out war as Israel-Hezbollah tensions escalate

'We really have to avoid it': Biden urges avoidance of all-out war as Israel-Hezbollah tensions escalate

As conflicts between Israel and Hezbollah rise, US President Joe Biden has urged people to refrain from starting a full-fledged war in the Middle East. ” It has to be”, Biden said to reporters as he boarded Air Force One for Washington. We must prevent it, in fact.
His remarks come after a string of Jewish attacks in Lebanon over the weekend that left numerous casualties. According to the Associated Press, Biden did not specify when he would meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. However, the condition remains powerful, with tens of thousands of residents displaced on both sides of the Israel-Lebanon borders.
Hezbollah has faced significant losses, including the demise of its president, Hassan Nasrallah, in an Israeli rude aimed at destroying the group’s control center. National surveillance spokesman John Kirby claimed that Israel has “wiped out” Hezbollah’s management through a storm of attacks. But, Kirby warned that Hezbollah may likely get to recover quickly, saying,” I think people are safer without him walking around… but they will try to recover”.
Kirby did not question whether the Biden administration supported Israel’s plan to attack Hezbollah officials, who reportedly operate close to human targets. The attacks have drawn condemnation for causing civilian deaths, according to Palestinian officials.
The White House continues to advocate for a 21-day transitory cease-fire, proposed by the US, France, and other countries during the current UN General Assembly. In an interview on CNN’s” State of the Union,” Kirby reaffirmed that” we believe that a political route is the proper training if you want to bring those people back home safely and effectively.
