Serious flooding in the wake of Typhoon Yagi this quarter has ravaged railroad lines, houses, and hospitals in Shan country’s Kalaw area.
The railway line, which runs from Thazi in the Mandalay region to Nyaungshwe in southeastern Shan status and is primarily used by the coup military to carry weapons, has suffered significant damage.
In Kalaw city, some homes have been severely damaged or destroyed, though the actual number is unknown. More than 100 people have died and more than 200 have gone missing as a result of flooding in the community, according to rescue workers and aid organizations.
Nationwide, flooding and landslides have killed more than 400 folks, according to Myanmar’s ruling junta.
