    Gas prices: Costs remain higher than a week ago

    Washington, D. C.

    Gas prices in Washington, D. C., decreased on Tuesday, with the district’s average for a gallon of regular gas dropping to $3.305 — less than one cent cheaper than Monday’s price. This was slightly less expensive than a week ago, when regular gas was $3.319 per gallon. Overall, gas prices in Washington are less expensive today than a month ago when regular gas cost residents in the nation’s capital $3.421 per gallon.

    Maryland

    On Tuesday, Maryland saw a slight increase in gasoline prices as the common quart of regular gasoline increased to$ 3.242. On Monday, the price of regular gas was less than one cent cheaper, coming in at$ 3.239 per gallon. Gas prices in the state are still significantly higher than they were last week, when gas prices were also$ 3. 239 per gallon. However, compared to a month ago, it is more expensive to fill up in Maryland on Tuesday than a month ago, when regular gas was$ 3.09 per gallon.

    Delaware

    A gallon of regular gas now costs$ 3.188, which is a very small increase from the price of$ 3.187 on Monday. This is a slight increase from the price of$ 3.187. Petrol prices in the First State have cooled a little after a few days of strong increases next week. Regular gas costs less than a week ago, when it was$ 3.211.
