Board seat: ‘ All competitors know they’re not to use student rooms ‘
Following the dismissal of a “gender-neutral” alternative professor who had used a scholar room, a Connecticut school district is in a bit of tumult.
Members of the local Gay group demanded “urgent action” at a new board meeting of the North Haven School District regarding the situation, which has lasted since last month, according to the New Haven Register.
LGBTQ activists were upset about “hateful” and” transphobic” online comments about the substitute ( who uses the honorific” Mx” and whose” style of dress is gender-nonconforming” ), and the issue was discussed at September’s board meeting.
Advocates vowed at the most recent meeting that some parents ‘ and others ‘ comments about the bathroom issue constituted a “hateful and a direct assault on the dignity and humanity of the LGBTQ+ community.”
The continued misgendering of the alternative educator, according to Jamie Krzmarzick, co-chair of the LGBTQ+ support team North Haven Pride, underscores the urgent need for thorough specialist growth for the entire Board of Education and all school personnel.
Krzmarzick ( pictured ) also alleged the substitute “had a microscope on them” the moment they started work at their school.
Ronald Bathrick, the head of the Board of Education, noted that” all options are aware they’re not to use student rooms.”

” I think if history has taught us something … it’s that individuals who are on the edge of anger, the side of discrimination, are hardly looked kindly upon as you get into future years, “he said.
