The Trump-Hitler account is a psyop.
I mean that literally, never metaphorically. It’s a military-grade, multilevel mental activity, engineered to revitalize demoralized Kamala Harris supporters and — through stigma — lower turnout among Donald Trump supporters. Here’s how it works.
Step One: Cargo
The payload, or the substance that really detonates and causes violent harm, is the most crucial component of any weapons program. In a psyop, the cargo is usually a tale. In the case of this psyop, the tale is that Trump is a fascist, a Hitler supporter, and an outright Nazi.
If your first response is to grin at how ridiculous and overused this is, you’re not mistaken. You would assume that after eight years of trying to will this manufactured narrative into existence ex nihilo (” Do n’t you folks understand that he’s literally Hitler” )? Ultimately, the Democrats and their advertising allies would have left. But there are two justifications for exhuming this defeated and dead horses, and why they did it only one day before the election.
First, they’re hungry. Harris is falling in the elections, and, in particular, she has forfeited a significant level of support among Latinos, dark gentlemen, and Arab-Americans. White Americans are increasingly supporting Trump, so the Harris campaign ca n’t afford even the slightest change in voting patterns among minority voters in swing-states.
Next, however, the false Nazi state, on the profits, is effective. Most Americans will see through it and ignore it after nearly a century of repeating press hoaxes, including “very good people on both sides” and “broken to the roots of Covid to Hunter Biden’s laptop. Remember, though, that only a handful of swing states may choose this vote, even more especially, members of the above majority groups will likely be the lever within those states.
It could make a big difference if the Harris strategy and the internet can persuade even a tiny minority of these people to reject Trump and help him, and it can do the same for a small minority of would-be Trump voters in the same states by staying at home on Election Day.
Step Two: The Launch Vehicle
If a weapon ca n’t be delivered to its intended target, it is useless. The New York Times and The Atlantic, who both published their narratives within days of one another, were the first two to publish their articles in the case of this procedure.
What are the chances of two well-known news outlets, both of which are ( notionally ) independent from one another but who are both incredibly supportive of the Democrat establishment, publishing two separate articles with the same story within hours of each other on a day exactly two weeks before the election? Simply.
Stage Three: Chain Reaction
The New York Times and The Atlantic offer credibility for the narrative’s nucleus, but what they ca n’t offer is widespread distribution. American news is gathered from a variety of sources that is wider than ever, and the majority of them do n’t go to the so-called paper of record or a once-great literary magazine that has been bankrupted by the widow of the man who invented the iPhone, which is as much as it might offend those who took out$ 200, 000 in student loans to attend Columbia J-school.
However, if there’s one item the media hates more than Donald Trump, it’s missing out on all the clicks and ideas from a hot story, happily for the orchestrators of our psyop. Nearly every other business publication released a generic article that summarized the obscene claims in the resource articles within hours of the two initial articles going survive ( in some cases, within minutes ).
By the end of the day Tuesday, there were thousands of such produces, from CNN, NBC/MSNBC/CNBC, ABC, CBS, Newsweek, Axios, Business Insider, the HuffPost, NPR, and just about any additional publishing a could name. These derivative articles do n’t merely disseminate the narrative’s DNA further, but they also serve to reinforce it and provide it ( false ) legitimacy, creating the unjustified impression that dozens of outlets have looked into this, rather than just two.
When Americans access Facebook and observe many articles from dozens of different websites that all claim the same thing, they become much more likely to believe the narrative, even if they might otherwise remain dubious. The body’s natural fear to query propaganda is overshadowed by the sheer quantity of logos and headlines. It’s crafty, but it works. And this is well known to those who design operations like this.
Step Four: Iterate and Perpetuate
On Wednesday, Kamala Harris read a speech decrying Trump’s supposed authoritarianism. Later that night, she afterwards re-used these assertions in her television town hall. President Joe Biden’s staff doubled down to. In doing this, they basically re-established the narrative’s news cycle, giving it new life, and keeping it front and centre in the internet.
If you’re getting a sense that the media focus comes in waves, it’s because it does ( and, like everything else here, it’s deliberate and methodical ). In the first 24 days, the emphasis is on the original statements in the two source reports. When the original story begins to wane, the media shifts to the reaction of important Trump opponents, forming a second news cycle to further the narrative.
Thereafter, the media will launch yet another wave of news, this one focused on interviewing historians ( all of whom will, conveniently, summarize the numerous and convenient parallels between Trump and the fascists of old ), swing-state voters ( all of whom, conveniently, will claim that Trump’s newly unveiled love of Hitler convinced them to get off the fence and support Harris ), and even so-called Trump supporters who have now decided not to vote for him. The goal is to keep the storyline in front of the market for as long as feasible, giving it time to grow and spread and continue to corrode Trump’s support.
Step Five: Build Another Load
We have 12 days until the vote. You have much more faith in the morality of the Harris plan and the media than I do if you believe this is the final straw that will be used to fuel the debate.
Over the next two months, I’ll anticipate at least two more of these, one of which will center on outrageous sexual misconduct allegations and the other, which, if I may speculate, will concentrate on Trump’s company background. Only remember: If it looks like a psyop, walks like a psyop, and quacks like a psyop, it’s perhaps a psyop.
