Chicago’s Mayor Brandon Johnson is the most controversial president in Chicago’s undistinguished story. Only 14 % of people in the city review of his administration.  ,

When compared to other city political and civic officials, how unhappy is he?

Stacy Davis Gates, the chairman of the Chicago Teachers Union ( who, by the way, sends her child to private institution ), has an incredibly negative -8 score. The Chicago public school system is at -16 online preference, which at least leaves it a much better off than the Teacher’s Union, which is at -21 preference, and Brandon Johnson’s chosen new school panel, which brings up the rear at -34.
Johnson’s unpopularity will only grow stronger after today’s release of his 2025 resources. After running against former Chicago mayor Paul Vallas, the only politician with a plus-approval score, Johnson is proposing to raise the taxes by$ 300 million. Also in a town known for its pessimism, this is an astoundingly sarcastic act.
The Chicago Teacher’s Union ( CTU), whose new contract is a cornucopia of goodies and ludicrous radical left codicils, has a one billion dollar hole in the budget. And then, Johnson owes a debt that the teachers are collecting.  ,

The CTU went “all-in” on Johnson’s vote. It was a scary look into the future of America’s biggest places. The cities wo n’t be directly ruled by mobsters. Otherwise, it will be dishonest municipal organisations that may call the shots.
Johnson’s following budget proposal is a big change from his tenet’s campaign promises to not increase property taxes on Chicago residents. It follows what the president’s office described as an “excruciating process” to close the gap.
According to the president’s office, people will see an 4 % increase in the city part of their property costs as a result of the boost.
The city’s first estate tax increase would come after former mayor Lori Lightfoot and former mayor Johnson opted not to raise the rates next year. The boost represents one of the biggest in recent years, compared to Lightfoot’s increases.
As is his habit, Johnson blamed people for a disaster he generally created.
” We simply have had careless administration after leadership that has kicked the could down the road, and now it’s in front of my door,” Johnson said in a presentation with investigators. “… This was a pretty painful process, but it’s one that I recognize in this time, that the solution is just not appropriate”.

What were some options? He may have relied on his teacher’s union friends to accept the teacher’s union’s tight budget needs. Demands like a 9 % salary increase, more support staff, and smaller class sizes ( more teachers ).
Johnson imposed a hiring ice, but he’s since hired lots of cronies to fill vacant positions. Today, with the funds hole, Johnson is once again promising never to hire or fire people.
Johnson has angered almost everyone in the area, including Chicago’s Jewish group. A Hebrew man who was walking to church in a well-known Orthodox Jewish community over the weekend was shot without incident. Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, 22, allegedly shot at an emergency and police commanders before they returned fire and taken him into custody.
Johnson also stated in a pro forma statement about the shooting that said,” Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his loved ones from this season’s shooting incident that took place in Rogers Park. Every single Chicagoan deserves to feel secure and secure throughout the area. There is still work to be done, and we are working diligently to enhance community security in every community.

As the research progresses, the Mayor’s Office and the Chicago Police Department are in close contact. Every single Chicagoan deserves to feel secure and secure throughout the town. There is more work to be done, and we are committed to carefully improving community health in every location”, he added.  ,
Compare that cheesy speech to his post about the demise of a six-year-old Arab boy who was fatally stabbed by his Chicago landlord next year:” We grieve alongside his family and the Muslim, Arab, and Arab communities in our state as we reckon with this unfathomable loss.”
I would quote more from that tweet if Johnson had deleted it. Additionally, he removed the tweet that referenced the Jewish man’s shooting. In Brandon Johnson’s Chicago, burying the truth is the primary means of political survival.
