Naim Qassem, who was Hezbollah‘s new leader, stated in his inaugural address on Wednesday that he would continue to follow the defense strategy established by his father Hassan Nasrallah, who passed away in an Israeli activity following the outbreak of significant conflicts.
Qassem stated in his first public address since taking over as president that “my work program is a progression of the work project of our innovator, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.” He also said that he’s committed to advancing” the war plan that he ( Nasrallah ) developed with the leadership” of the organisation, which receives support from Iran.
In the pre-recorded video address, Qassem emphasised the group’s freedom, stating they were no “fighting on anyone’s behalf”. He also addressed the relationship with Tehran, noting that Iran” supports us but does n’t want anything” in return, as quoted by AFP.
The recently appointed head likewise indicated the organisation’s eagerness to agree to a peace with Israel under’ problems’. But, he also warned of Hezbollah’s capacity to support military activities against Israel for many weeks.
He even addressed the failures that Hezbollah experienced, with the elimination of many of its popular figures. Following what he described as “painful” problems from Israel, Qassem claimed that the violent party “has started to recover by filling the gaps, appointing other rulers, and beginning work to organize all.”

The organization suffered a significant blow when Hassan Nasrallah, their previous president, passed away in an Israeli airstrike on September 27. Hezbollah’s condition got worse when a senior Hezbollah official, who was supposed to take over as Hezbollah’s chief, was revealed to be expelled by the Army on October 22.
