Discuss about muddled PR communication! For months and months, it’s been a constant beat:” Trump is Hitler”. Over and over again, it always came up to” Trump is Hitler”. You may have noticed that there have been thousands of people and hundreds of activities at Madison Square Garden over the past decade, but you may not even understand why the internet was so focused on the Nazi assessment.

Best! Because” Trump is Hitler”. Second poetry, same as the primary.
Question: If Trump is Hitler and Hitler is terrible, why did President Biden send every Harris-Walz campaign employee into a tailspin when he said,” The just wastes I see floating out there is his supporters — his — his marginalization of Latinos is inexcusable, and it’s un-American”.
Is n’t there a specific name we bestow upon Hitler’s supporters? Y’know, one that begins with an” N” and rhymes with” Yahtzee”?  ,
Appear, if Trump is “literally Hitler” next his followers are actually Nazis. So what’s wrong with calling Germans garbage?
I’ll would it: Germans are garbage. View? It’s no questionable. Y’know why? Because Germans are bullshit.
However, the Harris plan is royally freaking out.  ,
Mediaite tried to put a joyful face on it, calling it Kamala’s Sister Souljah time. ( “Kamala Harris Goes Sister Souljah on Biden’s Garbage Comment. It May Save Her Campaign”. )
The original Sister Souljah incident occurred over 30 years ago, but it was when then-candidate Bill Clinton rebuffed his decision to criticize lesser-known hip-hop artist Sister Souljah for suggesting that we should n’t have a week where white people are killed. Its validity as a social device in the’ 92 campaign has definitely been overstated, but it did coincide with Clinton’s desired brand identity of being a “new sort of Democrat”.

Kamala’s PR folks were almost surely thinking also, along with a knee-knocking fear of getting whacked with Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” range. ( Pro Tip: It’s typically not recommended for political individuals to use offensive language. )
But as it is with many things, their PR calculus is off: You ca n’t demonize someone halfway!
It’s an all-or-nothing statement.
Donald Trump is both a real danger to democracy and the birth of Hitler, or he is just another Republican candidate who wants to reduce income, regulations, and illegal immigration. You ca n’t be a “little like Hitler”. It’s also great an adjective to kinda-sorta be correct.
Normally, you’re wading into Jerry Seinfeld’s Dish Nazi country, where the label is used sarcastically and sardonically. And clearly, that’s NOT what the Democrats want, because mockery and satire do n’t drive Democrats to the polls.
If Donald Trump actually IS Hitler and must be stopped at all costs, therefore calling his followers bullshit is a valid criticism, Harris-Walz is in such a perplexing position. People who purposefully follows Hitler in 2024 has gotta be both a sociopath or a heroin. Either approach, feel free to call’ em wastes.  ,
If that’s the case, President Biden has nothing , to forgive for.

But if Trump is n’t Hitler, then hoo boy!
If Trump is n’t Hitler, you’ve just reminded voters that the Democratic Party has been lying about Trump, exaggerating his danger and that they do n’t really, truly respect his followers.  ,
You ca n’t apologize for calling someone a Nazi while you can call their leader a Nazi. There’s gonna get cognitive tension.
But no, this was n’t Kamala’s Sister Souljah moment. Whether or not she said those words, she had a second in” Boyle of Deplorables.” Hey, it’s good for the Republicans to enjoy the guilt-by-association match with the leader and his vice president, just like the Dems were playing the guilt-by-association activity when comedian Tony Hinchcliffe joked about wastes at Madison Square Garden.
Calling Trump’s supporters “garbage” wo n’t drive any additional Democrats to the polls. But it just may make a difference for a few Democrats.
What a terrible effortless problem.
