Gas prices on Thursday were lower than they were on a week ago, when regular gas was priced at$ 3.15 per gallon, which is lower than the average nationwide. Vehicles paid$ 3.216 for a gallon of regular gasoline in comparison to the same period last month. Additionally, the current price is the least expensive gas that has been sold in the nation since January 2024, when gas was typically priced at$ 3.075.

Delaware
On Thursday, Delaware gas prices dropped below$ 3 per gallon, as the new price for a gallon of regular gas is$ 2.988. This was an through two-cent increases from Wednesday’s cost of$ 3.013. Petrol prices in the First State have been trending downward since a strong improve earlier this month. A week ago, the average price for a gallon of regular gas was$ 3.057, and a month ago, it was$ 3.193.
Virginia
Gas prices also fell in Virginia on Thursday, dropping to$ 3.033 for a gallon of regular gas, a nearly one-cent drop from Wednesday’s price of$ 3.042. Like different states in the Delmarva area, Virginia’s fuel costs have been trending upwards. A week ago, a gallon of regular gasoline cost$ 3.057. But, on Thursday, a gallon of regular gas is$ 3.006 more expensive than a fortnight ago.
Washington, D. C.
Gas prices also dropped in Washington, D. C., on Thursday. The average price for a gallon of regular gas fell to $3.267, a decrease of over two cents from Wednesday’s price of $3.29. Gas prices in the state have hovered in this price range for the last month. A week ago, a gallon of regular gas in the nation’s capital was $3.286. This is slightly cheaper than a month ago when the price of regular gas was up to $3.304 per gallon.

Texas
Texas has the cheapest gas prices nationwide, coming in at$ 2.68 per gallon on Thursday. A gallon of regular gasoline price$ 2.712, which is a lower from a week ago in the Lone Star State. A month earlier, a gallon of regular gasoline in Texas cost$ 2.734.
Hawaii
Hawaii has reclaimed the title of condition with the most expensive gas prices in the country, outpacing California, which has remained unproven for the past two decades. On Thursday, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Hawaii is$ 4.594. This price is slightly higher than it was a week ago, when it was$ 4.591. A month ago, gas prices in the Aloha State were ever-so-slightly more expensive, with a price of$ 4.598.
