I do n’t know about you, but over the last few years, I’ve noticed a massive uptick in Halloween decorations, makeup, and celebrations ( and candy prices, but that’s another story ). Some accessories are joy, campy, and family-friendly — people, not so much.

Certain, we see the inflated jack-o-lanterns, pretty spirits, and the like, but there are also more frightening decorations. Some of them are creative and genuinely scary, others are diabolical. Bones are one point, but the animal bones are creepier than individual remains. And what’s with the giant ( 10-foot? 12-foot? ) Nephilim remains are being erected in people’s miles, right?
Driving around community late, I saw some interesting feet. There are the people who go ashore with the inflatable accessories, of course. One 19th-century palace I saw had tentacles coming out of different locations on the door, windows, and ceiling, which I thought was brilliant and enjoyment. I also saw a pro-Trump Halloween show last night that made joy of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Tim Walz.
And then there’s a home that I’ve seen many times this year. This home has gone all-out to handle the yard in adornments, and you’ll notice some of it in the presented image. Some of them are campier, while others summon’ 50s dread characters. Perhaps two dolls suggest the Lizzie Borden tale. It’s all amusing, ridiculous, and somewhat disturbing.
We can attribute some of this to how much simpler it is to purchase or purchase encouraging accessories. Technology gives us more opportunities to create décor that’s more believable.

However, I ca n’t help but wonder if our society is drifting further away from the biblical faith as a result of our obsession with Halloween, especially the graphic, scary, and downright demonic elements. Someone takes up God’s place as society shifts away from him, and I wonder if a lot of people’s obsession with a unique element of the supernatural is causing this.
Do n’t get me wrong, Halloween can be fun. We did n’t go trick-or-treating as kids because we lived out in the middle of nowhere. The advantage of this was that my parents provided all the treats we requested, and we occasionally would trick-or-treat from room to room while my mom and dad were dressed up in various bread outfits. I was a “devil” when I was a child and now I know people who avoid Halloween like the plague because it was” of the devil.”
There’s a good range between joy and hokey Halloween and dwelling in the occult-influenced divine. Without inclination toward the diabolical and bad, we can enjoy the amusing and funny decorations. However, we can even womp-womp throughout the day and lose out on some of the excitement.

Halloween is derived from the Christian custom of All Saints ‘ Day ( no, not the girl group ), which is typically observed on November 1. All Hallow’s Eve became Halloween the day before followers drew their honor to the souls of the history.

Halloween serves as a reminder of the cherished tale of good overcoming bad and the light overcoming darkness for Christians. It can make us happy that we are aware of the story’s conclusion.
The Bible serves as a reminder of this:
The Lord does protect your life from all bad. The Lord may keep you coming in and leaving from this point forward and everlasting.
Psalm 121: 7-8 ( ESV )
The shadow has not overcome the shadow, but the light beams in the darkness.
John 1: 5 ( ESV )
For everyone who has a birth in God triumphs over the world. Our belief is the only thing that has ruled the world, and this is it. Who else is it that transcends the earth besides the one who accepts Jesus as the Son of God?
1 John 5: 4-5 ( ESV )
Then conflict arose in heaven, Michael and his spirits fighting against the lion. And the lion and his spirits rebelled, but he was defeated, and there was no longer a place for them in heaven. The old dragon, known as the devil and Satan, the trickster of the entire world, was also thrown down, and his spirits were also thrown down with him. And I heard a loud tone in heaven remarking,” Then the salvation, the power, the country, and the power of our God, and the power of his Christ have come, because the accuser of our boys has been thrown over, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have beaten him with the Lamb’s body and with their witness, for they never wanted to die. So, cheer, O skies and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O Earth and Sea, for the devil has anger you greatly because he is aware that his time is short.
Revelation 12: 7-12 ( ESV )

” The Biblical communication, at this and every time of the year, is that evil does not have the last say, either in the earth or in our own souls”, said John Stonestreet on the Target radio. ” Evil is a real foe, but because of Jesus Christ, evil is a defeated foe. So, fear not”.
Remember these truths when you’re tempted to despise the evil in the world or when you see Halloween decorations that do n’t appeal to you. And be content knowing that good oversettles evil.
