Oil rates across the country dropped once more on Friday. The national average price for regular gas fell to$ 3.122 per gallon on Nov. 1, a nearly one-cent drop from Thursday’s price of$ 3.131.
Friday’s amount was also less costly than a week ago, when regular gas price$ 3.144 per gallon. Gas is also less expensive than a gallon of regular gas a month ago, when it was$ 3.204. The most expensive fuel in the country since January 2024, when the regular cost was$ 3.075, is now the lowest price ever.

This was an over 4-cent drop from Wednesday, when the price was$ 3.013. Petrol prices in the First State have significantly decreased following a sharp improve earlier this month. A week ago, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas was$ 3.044, and a month ago, it was$ 3.187.
Maryland
The average cost for a gallon of regular gasoline in Maryland dropped to$ 3.069 on Friday, a more than 3-cent cut since Wednesday. Petrol prices in the state have been declining for the past few months after rising at the beginning of October. A week ago, a gallon of regular gas cost$ 3.131, and a month ago, it was$ 3.244.
Virginia
The average cost of a gallon of regular gasoline in Virginia decreased by$ 3.024 % on Friday. This was a little drop from Thursday’s cost of$ 3.033. Virginia’s fuel prices have been declining over the past several weeks, just like other state in the Delmarva area. A week ago, a gallon of regular gasoline expense$ 3.055. However, gas prices were slightly higher in the state on Friday than a month ago, when a gallon of regular gas was under$ 3 per gallon, coming in at$ 2.997.
Washington, D. C.
The average gas price in Washington, D. C., continues to be the most expensive among all the areas in the Delmarva region, coming in at $3.269 per gallon on Friday, a slight increase from Thursday’s price of $3.267. Gas prices in the state have fluctuated between $3.25 and $3.32 for the last month. For example, a week ago, a gallon of regular gas in the nation’s capital was more expensive, costing $3.283. The same holds for prices from a month ago when a gallon of regular gas cost $3.305.

Texas
Texas remained the state with the nation’s lowest gas prices on Friday, at$ 2.667, a slight decrease from the$ 2.68 per gallon price on Thursday. This was also in line with the Lone Star State’s average gas price of$ 2.695 last week and the Lone Star State’s average gas price of$ 2.736 last month.
Hawaii
Petrol prices in Hawaii on Friday remained the most expensive in the country after toppling California for it earlier in the week. It now costs$ 4.587 per gallon for regular gas in the Aloha State, a drop from Thursday’s price of$ 4.594. Prices are ever-so-slightly higher than they were a week ago, when regular gas was the average price of$ 4.589. When Hawaii residents paid$ 4.605 per gallon for regular oil, Friday’s costs was less expensive than a fortnight before.
