An assault on a , authorities patrol , in southern Iran has left 10 officials dead, the Interior Ministry said.
The assault occurred in Gohar Kuh, in Sistan-Baluchistan Province, some 1, 200 kilometers east of the money, Tehran. No organization has so far claimed role.
An assault on” two police guards returning to their officers place” was reported by the Tasnim media company, which is affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.
Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni has ordered an investigation into the affair, the state-run IRNA news agency reported.
In recent months, a slew of fatal attacks targeted security forces have rocked Sistan-Baluchistan. A Baluch dissident militant group known as Jaish al-Adl, which is thought to be operating out of neighboring Pakistan, has claimed those earlier problems.
