Joe Exotic became a family name in 2020 after Netflix’s” Tiger King” video gained global attention.
His rivalry with other tiger enthusiast Carole Baskin and his relationship to his sanctuary in the documentary were both noted.
He was convicted in 2020 of a , murder-for-hire story involving Baskin , and on costs of killing cats, national authorities say.
In 2022, he was resentenced to 21 years in prison, reduced from 22 times. He is awaiting release from prison in Florida.
And in an Oct. 28 article on X, formerly known as Twitter, Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, revealed he is engaged.
According to Joe Exotic, his wife’s title is Jorge Marquez, who is a friend criminal.
” He is 33. He is so wonderful and is from Mexico”, the ,” Tiger King” star , wrote. The goal is to get married while serving time in prison and grant him home, or we’ll both leave the United States.
” Either method, I wish I had had met him much back.”
In , a July interview , with WFLA, Exotic shared his wish for a new trial. He hopes to overturn his original conviction or receive a presidential pardon so that he can keep his acclaim behind him.
” I’m really appealing my whole circumstance, to reverse my judgment,” Exotic told WFLA”. If I walk out of here tomorrow, … I’m never going to individual another dog afterwards.”
Exotic is fighting penile cancer.
” It’s detention, you know, “he said”. It’s been tough, it definitely has.”
