Next week, I realized I was running out of time to take part in first election here in Georgia, but on Halloween, I ran over to one of the polling locations in my state. Over the past few decades, this particular suburban county has changed from solidly red to largely blue, but it continues to be pretty diverse. We borders Marjorie Taylor Greene’s city, and we are only a few minutes from the rural areas that border Atlanta and the express line. We also have a significant Latino expatriate community.  ,

For a long time, I felt like I could look around the polling place and guess who each person was voting for, but last week, as I stood in the basement of our old county courthouse-turned-museum, I realized I do n’t think I can do that anymore. This vote is unique.  ,
I know what you’re thinking — all says that every year: This election is unique. This vote is the most significant election that has ever occurred to us. But this time, it truly feels correct. This year is n’t like the others, the old Democrat vs. Republican, all votes down party lines.  ,
This time, it feels like Us vs. Them.  ,  ,
Who is” them”? They’re the creation. The rulers. The lake. the individuals who have been in authority for a long time. They are the ones who have Rupees and Wii by their names but all end up in the exact position of power. They bow lower to foreign officials and divert your tax money to other nations, they’re desperate for war, and they never seem to set the American people initially. Instead, they’d more develop the nanny position while they sit in their elite bubbles and laugh at us idiots who are struggling to get groceries, available businesses, or even do anything as simple as lift a pet squirrel.  ,
You just need to take a look at the Republicans supporting Kamala Harris, led by Dick Cheney and his miserable child Liz. I’d like to give up some oceanfront estate in Des Moines if you really think either Cheney and their friends think Harris is brilliant and a great prospect with great ideas for the country’s potential. They are aware that she is a marionette who will enjoy their game and carry on their satire.  ,

I even see it among my companions. True, there are some ultra-liberal people who will support her because they believe she will advance their ultra-liberal objectives, but some Democrats have come to the realization that they are fed up with the same old stuff. And I’ve heard a few lifelong conservatives admit they’re voting for Harris, even if she does n’t represent their views, because Trump scares them. They’ve fallen for the tale, the idea that he’ll ruin this land. Or even they’re afraid of change. They’ve become comfortable with” Them” in power. Sometimes they’re just not paying close enough attention. Whatever the reason, I get it. I was like them again.  ,
Personally, I’ve always been a great Trump lover. I voted next in 2016 because I believed he was yet another great federal figure. In 2020, I held my head and voted for him. While I still was n’t totally convinced, I was pleasantly surprised at the way he handled his first term. I was prepared to vote for him again this year when I learned what was in store for me.  ,
When I watched a man almost pass away from a would-be killer in July, it was mocked by prominent figures in the media, including important people. Because they disagreed with his thoughts, I saw them desire him dead. I think that’s when it hit me. I did n’t buy a MAGA hat or anything, but I came to the realization that this is our best chance for lasting change. Since then, I’ve paid closer attention. Instead of relying on vintage news, I really listened to Trump and his running partner, JD Vance, speak. And I can tell you that last week, I happily voted for Donald Trump, not just for or against a particular group.  ,

For better or for worse, he has no concern. He’s prepared to upend the status quo, and I think many of us are in the mood to do so as our nation struggles with its individualism. I think that’s why you see teams that typically vote for Democrats, like dark men, for instance, voting for this person with an R subsequent to his name. And I love that. The only way to break free of the press and politicians trying to divide us into groups based on stereotypes is to present them they’re wrong.  ,  ,
When I voted for Trump last week, I did n’t feel like I was voting for a Republican or a Democrat. He’s not the most conservative or liberal person, in my opinion. I feel like for the first time in my life, I’m voting for a leader who is open to pushing the limits of the creation and restoring the rights we owe and all the things that make this nation wonderful. If you have n’t voted yet, I hope you’ll do the same on November 5.  ,  ,
