The Harvard professor who wrote in 2016 , she” then understands” how Hitler came to power in Germany given Donald Trump’s then-ascension to GOP candidate has quit her job as contributing Washington Post columnist , due to its refusal to accept Kamala Harris.
Danielle Allen, a teacher of political beliefs, ethics, and public policy at the Graduate School of Education, quit the papers on October 25, The Crimson information.
She had joined the papers in 2008″ to quell misconceptions” about Barack Obama’s place of birth. Shortly after leaving the WaPo, she joined the staff at The Atlantic.
In a letter, Allen ( pictured )” slammed” the WaPo for bowing down to owner Jeff Bezos ‘ request not to offer a presidential endorsement, calling it a” shameful capitulation of misinformation”.
” In this world of propaganda and propaganda, we need startlingly obvious examples of well-reasoned explanations”, Allen wrote. To leave this country’s culture to decay at a point of extreme vulnerability is to abrogate the responsibility to communicate a regular for fine judgment on difficult questions.
Never did I think that our society may prove so frail against its force, and in the face of one of its most frequent purveyors, Allen continued, adding that while she was concerned about disinformation during the ’08 campaign.

Bezos immediately claimed documents ‘ testimonials have a “negligible effect on elections” and” build a belief of bias”, but Allen called this “laughable and condescending”.
Last season, Allen told , The College Fix she did not regret comparing Trump’s fall to the president to that of Hitler.
She said,” It is a simple fact that I have come to realize the elections of Weimar Germany and the 1930s” from watching our politicians in the last ten years. I regret that liberals taking my viewpoint physically, but I think it’s my responsibility to be open about it.
During her tenure as co-chair of Harvard’s Presidential Task Force for Inclusion and Belonging, Allen announced plans to change the final line (” Till the stock of the Puritans die” ) of the school’s 181-year-old alma mater” Fair Harvard”.
She also noted there would be a contest to make” a new musical feature” of the music” that could be performed as digital, hip hop, or spoken term music”.
Ultimately, however, Harvardians did n’t care much about this “inclusion” initiative.
