Pennsylvania has already sparked a shakeup in voter arousal in probably the most watched bounce condition of the 2024 presidential election. After a “malfunction” prevented Cambria County voters from scan their ballots, a prosecutor in Pennsylvania approved a plea to expand voting hours until 10 p.m. ET, according to Fox News.
Early this morning, the Cambria County Board of Election learned that a program error in the state’s electronic voting method had prevented voters from scan their ballots, according to region solicitor Ron Repak in a statement. The voter should not be deterred by this, according to the statement.
” All completed vote will be accepted, secured, and counted by the Board of Elections. The County Board of Elections has express voting machine]sic ] at precinct locations to continue to allow voting electronically, while still allowing hand ballots to be cast”, said Repak.
All seats cast after the initial final period of 8 p. m. ET will be by temporary vote, the court ordered.
The Pennsylvania Department of State announced that it was collaborating with local authorities to resolve the problem.
” The Department of State has spoken with state leaders in Cambria County. Citizens are continuing to vote by report vote, in accordance with normal procedures, while the region resolves the issue with in-precinct checking. We are working with the County to handle this complex problem and remain committed to ensuring a free, good, healthy, and safe election”.
Prior to the judge granting the expansion, Whatley had assured voters that the Republican Party’s doctors were” all over” the problem.
Whatley wrote on X,” We know there are some range delays on the ground.” ” We need you to stay in line. We require that you complete and deliver your poll in total. Our attorneys in Pennsylvania are committed to ensuring justice and correctness in the process.
