Italy’s right-wing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump on his success in the US national election and said it would improve ties between the two nations.
In a blog on X Meloni offered her “most honest thanks” to Trump, and said Italy and the United States had an “unshakeable ally”.
” It is a proper relationship, which I am certain we will then strengthen also more”, she said.
