Kamala Harris, the unsuccessful candidate for president, admitted on Wednesday that she was aware that every attack she made against Donald Trump and his administration was a blatant exist.
Harris took the stage at Howard University reluctantly admitting after Trump stunned the program with a beautiful punch to the face and won the popular vote and the Electoral College. She could have conceded in the early hours of the morning, but that would have required her to show up on time ( see her disastrous handling of Afghanistan ).
But it was n’t her hollow speech about “unity” and” joy” that stood out. It was the time she publicly admitted to spreading obscene lies about Trump for times, all in an effort to win the election.
” To the younger people that are watching, it is okay to feel sad and disappointed”, Harris said. ” But kindly know it’s going to be okay”.
It’s going to be fine?
How is it acceptable that Harris admitted to being a totalitarian to us? She said a Trump victory had become “dangerous” and a “huge danger for America”. According to Harris, Trump “wants to send the military after National members” and “is out for unregulated strength.” She painted him as an existential risk to “democracy” itself.
But now it’s “going to be ok”?
The truth is, it’s easy for her to say that “it’s going to be okay” because it will be fine. And everything else will work out because all Harris said was a rest. The attacks, the smears, and the fearmongering were nothing more than a political stunt to spooky voters because her policy positions could n’t get her past the finish line.
Harris based her whole political success on the ignorance of her supporters by focusing solely on what Trump’s potential as president looks like. And then, after losing, she may admit the truth— but it’s too much too soon. Her controversial language, alongside the hate-filled tale pushed by her party and the advertising hit, did more than just degrade Trump’s standing — it demonized half the land. The second two assassination attempt against Trump were fueled by a culture of hatred.
But then she wants to say it’s “going to be alright”?
Sure, things may be fine — thanks to Trump’s management and America-first guidelines. But the harm Harris did by feeding department, fear, and contempt for democratic gain will never be “okay”.
