In the end, it was n’t that close.
The ancient Democratic Party alliance ultimately crumbled under the weight of its own great schemes. Its attempts to copy America, and more extremely, its efforts to reshape American culture, suddenly ran into an political brick wall.

It took a sizable majority of Americans, representing all races, all ethnic groups, all religions, and every region of the country, to eventually say,” Have athwart history, yelling” Cease,” at a time when no one is inclined to do so, or have little patience with those who thus enshrine it,” as Bill Buckley urged us to do.
It’s a” Normie” realignment, and I ca n’t stop giggling.
Some of the numbers coming out of the 2024 election are astonishing. Democrats on cable television talk bravely but with terror in their eyes because of the profundity of the realignment. Kamala Harris still won a solid majority of Hispanic voters, 53-45. However, Barack Obama got 71 % of Hispanics in 2012. Trump began peeling away Hispanics, especially men, in 2016 and 2020 until it became clear that the” Hispanic vote” was up for grabs going forward.
Of course, the” Hispanic vote” is something of a misnomer. Central American Hispanics vote solidly Republican, while Cuban Hispanics vote moderately. National campaigns will have a harder time squeezing the Hispanic vote to wring the most out of that ethnic group.
Although Harris also won the majority of black votes, Harris has n’t gotten as many black votes as any Democrat since 1960 because Trump only won 20 % of black votes.
According to the NBC exit poll, Trump actually won Hispanic men 54%-44 %. That sparked debates on cable TV, where they attributed Harris ‘ inability to serve the Hispanic ( Latinx ) population. community. Instead, they could n’t face the fact that Hispanic and black men voted just like white people. Their top concerns were the economy ( “prices” ) and the border ( “illegal immigration” ), and Donald Trump was saying things they wanted to hear. And all races, ethnicities, and creeds agreed with him.

Democrats wo n’t soon learn that cutting the electorate into ever smaller pieces based on race and ethnicity, promising favors or donations to all of them has resulted in diminishing returns. The issue with that strategy is that you’re going to miss one minority or another and cause them to be angry with the candidate. And then where are you, Joe Biden, with Muslims in Michigan screaming that you’re” Genocide Joe” and Harris paying the price?
The Republican Party is well on its way to becoming a working-class party of all races after years of being dominated by elite businessmen and landed gentry.  ,
Harris won more wealthy voters with college degrees, 57 % to 40 %, while Trump won blue-collar voters with college degrees, 55 % to 42 %. In 2020, Trump won voters who lack college degrees by a narrow 50%-48 % over Biden.
But perhaps the largest, and most consequential, shift from 2020 was support among Latino voters.
Trump’s gains with Latino voters came despite his hardline rhetoric against immigrants. Tony Hinchcliffe’s joke, which he called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage,” was a joke made by the Harris campaign at a Trump rally.
Earth to Democrats: Latinos, especially young males, agree that the border should be much better defended. They actually like Donald Trump’s tough talk against illegal immigrants. The biggest delusion in Harris ‘ delusional campaign was pretending that all Hispanics were offended by a comedian’s stupid joke.

According to Arturo Munoz, a truck driver from Phoenix,” Hispanic and Latino men are very physically hardworking.” ” The difference in pay, the difference in hours, the difference in cuts, the difference in providing for their families. I’ve seen it”.
Trump listened and heard. Democrats may continue to pander to Hispanic families or find solutions to their issues.
