Kamala Harris finally gave up the competition to Donald Trump shortly after the polls closed in the 2024 election. She was out of choices.
” We may accept the results of this poll”, Harris told her followers from a level at Howard University in Washington, D. C., on Wednesday evening. ” Earlier today, I spoke with President-election Trump and congratulated him on his success. I even promised to conduct a peaceful transfer of power with him. A basic rule of American politics is that when we lose an election, we accept the results”, she added in a distinct attack on Democrats, including Trump, who contested the techniques and effects of the rigged 2020 election.
Earlier on Wednesday, the weasels of” The Watch” rehearsed the exact talking points. When the candidate you voted for does n’t win, you do n’t blame the system for failing or rigged it. You say,’ It is what it is,'” said Sara Haines. ” Unlike Donald Trump and his supporters, I acknowledge that he won”, added Ana Navarro.
Of course, they “acknowledge that he won”. What other options do they have besides their recent speech that questioning the benefits of an election is a test of democracy? Their” we accept the results” position started about five minutes before— or, more accurately, the second Trump questioned the results of the 2020 election. Democrats had questioned nearly every other election they had lost decades before, which were all, by the way, freer and fairer than 2020.
2016 is still fresh in Americans ‘ minds. Here are three minutes ( of many ) of Democrats calling Donald Trump an “illegitimate president” after that election and saying the contest was” stolen” from Hillary Clinton:
Democrats performed the same thing in the 2000 presidential contest between George W. Bush and Al Gore, and then again when Bush outperformed John Kerry to the point of halting the Electoral College vote certification. Democrats even concocted a bizarre theory that Karl Rove had worked with manufacturers of voting machines to alter voter counts. The General Accountability Office was called in by Jerry Nadler and other Judiciary Committee Democrats to check whether the machines were used to sabotage the election.
In 1960, after Hawaii’s governor had initially certified the results for Republican candidate Richard Nixon and a recount was underway, Democrat John F. Kennedy arranged for “alternate electors” ( gasp ) to be appointed. Sound familiar?
Stacey Abrams insisted in 2018 that even though she had lost, she had still won the Georgia governor’s race against Brian Kemp. More examples can be found where these came from.
Everything changed in 2020. Under the guise of Covid, there were a lot of mail-in ballots and “indefinitely confined” absentee voters in that election. There were last-minute rule changes in battleground states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, as well as state officials performing illegal ballot counting after the election day without postmarks, which meant it was impossible to determine when or where the ballots had been mailed. In 2020, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, and his wife, dumping hundreds of millions of dollars, primarily into the blue states, thereby turning local election offices into Democrat get-out-the-vote operations.
Then Zuckerberg and his associates in Big Tech and the corporate media censored true accounts of the Biden family’s corrupt foreign influence-peddling operation, presuming it was” Russian disinformation” and the result of a “hack and leak” operation, even after the FBI had verified the laptop. One in six voters would have changed their votes if they had known about even one of the Biden family scandals that were exposed in the weeks leading up to the 2020 election. That alone could have tipped the election, notwithstanding all the other shenanigans, as the outcome came down to only about 44, 000 votes across three swing states. Biden ultimately became the president, but any way you slice it, the election was rigged.
But Democrats could n’t help themselves. Not only did they insist, against all evidence to the contrary, that the 2020 election was the “most secure in American history“, but they also vilified anyone who disagreed as an “election denier”. They labeled Trump a Nazi, a tyrant, and an insurrectionist, and his followers the same.
They have thus far really backed themselves into a corner based on the results of the election. In 2024, what option do they have but to concede?
That’s not the only, or even the primary reason, Kamala Harris and her supporters conceded the election on Wednesday though. They also acknowledged whooping and were defeated. Unlike the 2020 election, the margins in 2024 were n’t razor-thin. Trump beat Harris in a landslide. Democrats were given their keisters.
As of now, Donald Trump sits with a whopping 295 Electoral College votes, with more likely to roll in from the Sunbelt. Democrats ‘ typical attacks on the Electoral College are moot because they ca n’t even yell about the popular vote because Trump appears to have won.
Do n’t be fooled by Democrats ‘ uncharacteristic acceptance of election results, therefore. It’s their only move right now. But I’m certain that they’ll rediscover their historical affinities for “election denial” when Donald Hitler oxymoronically leaves office in four years.
