White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that the election outcome, in which Democrats were decimated, was a direct result of “global winds” that are affecting all former leaders around the world. ” Despite all of the contributions that we were able to get done, there were international challenges because of the COVID-19 pandemic”, Jean-Pierre said.
” And it had a social toll on some occupants. If you look at what happened in 2024 worldwide. And that’s portion of what you saw”, she added.
Karine was asked by Joe Biden about his health issues during which time he was still in the competition whether he felt any responsibility for Harris ‘ lost to Donald Trump or whether he regrets resigning from the competition.
Without addressing whether Biden felt any responsibility for Harris ‘ lost, Karine said, “believes he made the right decision when he decided to step aside.”
” There’s going to be a lot of punditry, a lot of poll professionals who are going to have their views, who are going to have their ideas, but the president is very, very glad of what he’s been able to accomplish and extremely impressed with what the vice president was able to do”, Jean-Pierre said.
Joe Biden made his initial statement before the White House lecture, in which he stated that he backed the election of Donald Trump and pledged to uphold the Constitution by allowing a peaceful transfer of power, yet as he acknowledged the problems experienced by his followers.
” I know for some people, it’s a day for success, to state the obvious. For some, it’s a time of loss, activities or events of competing fantasies”, he said from the Rose Garden at the White House. The nation makes one choice over the other. We consent to the country’s decision.
” I’ve said many times you ca n’t love your country only when you win, “he added”. Yesterday, I spoke with President-elect Trump to thank him on his success, and I assured him that I will guide my whole management to work with his staff to maintain a peaceful and orderly transition,” Biden said.
