President Trump’s transition team is undoubtedly picking potential White House staff members for the upcoming administration, but he should n’t give too much thought to figuring out his next press secretary. In reality, it’s greatest that he remove the place completely.
White House press secretaries are supposed to subject inquiries from the news media and stay reporters abreast of administrative affairs, but that’s not how people see the media assistant’s job nowadays, thanks to our line, not-dead-yet Washington press limited. The press secretary is now regarded by the majority of people as the official who answers a number of mindless questions from journalists hoping to be seen on television with a brave facial expression and occupies a podium almost everyday.
To humour, the most annoying part of Trump’s second expression by far was the daily press briefing. It’s how dopes like Jim Acosta from CNN and Yamiche Alcindor from PBS managed to become somewhat unpopular. What was supposed to be a fun and fairly blasé celebration was used by these creeps to become famous by asking ridiculously confrontational questions every day, including” Why do you agree with the Statue of Liberty?”
Acosta actually quoted the words on the monument in 2017 before accusing then-White House director Stephen Miller of” trying to change what it means to be an american” by expecting immigrants to speak English and make a significant contribution to society.
In 2020, Alcindor practically asked then-U. S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams to listen to nobodies who posed as offended when he advised minorities with higher levels of risk of Covid to exercise caution. ” You also said do it for your abuela, do it for great mama and music pop”, Alcindor sassed. Some individuals online now find that language offensive.
The meetings with the actual click director, whether it was Sean Spicer, Kayleigh McEnany, or Sarah Sanders, were worse, countless back-and-forths about whatever mind-numbing manufactured discussion the internet were preoccupied with.
It’s futile. On-camera presentations are less than worthless, aside from providing them with the opportunity to get unwarranted attention from these frenzied drama queens. The briefings only served to destroy Trump’s attempts to regulate and carry out his mission, which his voters put him in business for. They also set those nerds up for cable information contracts and guide deals.
That ca n’t happen again, and the best way to ensure it does n’t is to simply eliminate on-camera press briefings. Trump is currently serving one more word thanks to obstinate citizens who believe he can bring about change for this troubled nation. There’s no time to waste. Not a minute can be wasted on foolish Washington writers trying to become famous through a tense TV debate with the White House.
Unless it’s absolutely necessary to host a televised briefing, there’s no reason they ca n’t all be audio-only affairs, and even audio recordings are n’t needed on a regular basis. A White House official may hold background briefings to answers questions or provide advice, but the internet will continue to lie, mislead, and influence whatever it is they want to do in any way. The video publishing ( whether on television or the computer ) can submit official interview requests if they want to ask them in person, and the White House can decide whether or not to accept them.
Trump no longer needs the media’s acceptance, at least not in the past. He has the option of taking business and not speaking to them for a single time. He ca n’t run for reelection, so outside of matters of utmost importance to the public, he should n’t bother with the media’s preferred daily opportunity for fame, nor should the rest of his administration. It wo n’t hurt the future prospects of J. D. Vance, Trump’s incoming vice president, who presumably will run for president in 2028. But a stalled plan did.
Is the on-camera meetings. Trump does n’t need them. The rest of us do n’t do it either.
