Bell Textron, a company of , Wichita-based , Textron Aviation, likely get over a , U. S. Army , protection program after the software dropped , Spirit Aerosystems , as a distributor.
Bell is a defense and aerospace firm that designs and manufactures planes. On Wednesday, the company announced its service in , Wichita , may preserve manufacturing of the aircraft council for the , U. S. Army ‘s , Future Long Range Assault Aircraft, a Bell news release said.
The Army started the FLRAA system in an effort to bring the newest generation of military helicopters to market.
The program’s principal dealer was Spirit, who managed the aircraft assembly ‘ production. Next quarter, Bell dropped Spirit and will solve the aircraft assembly, according to , FlightGlobal News.
Bell did not say why it dropped Spirit, but reports speculate that the decision comes as , Boeing , is working to reacquire Spirit in a$ 8.3 billion deal.
Bell spokesperson , Blakeley Thress , declined to say how many careers the , Wichita , service could provide, but said it will get” starting the hiring process for the site soon”.
The site for the FLRAA program will be at an existing center located at Beech Field on , Textron Aviation ‘s , school in east , Wichita. Bell said Bell intends to start running the business there in the coming weeks.

Federal level local politicians applauded the news.

U. S.  , Rep.  , Ron Estes, who won reelection to another term Tuesday, said the decision highlights Texron’s commitment to the region.
