After being advised by their crisis response group to avoid homes with indications supporting former president Donald Trump while assessing Florida’s hurricane-hit places following Hurricane Milton, the agency announced on Saturday that it had terminated the company.
FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell denounced the team member’s conduct as “reprehensible” and confirmed their work dismissal.

The Daily Wire first reported the incident, which cited internal connections that revealed FEMA official Marni Washington had issued her directives while relief workers were examining Lake Placid homes next month while utilizing a Microsoft Teams talk.

FEMA is now looking into how many homes were left behind in the event on October 27. The organization dispatched new groups earlier on Friday to reach previously unreachable homes in the affected areas.
The spokesperson stated that FEMA leaders were “horrified that this took place and have taken extraordinary steps to correct this condition and have ensured that the problem was addressed at all amounts” despite declining to provide more details as a result of the ongoing research.
Following the information, Florida governor Ron DeSantis announced a state-level investigation into the matter.
